Is it common for companies to not disclose pay grades?
I started a new job last month and the position title is very vague/fluid and they wanted someone with a master’s degree, but they got me instead who has two bachelor’s degrees and seven years of experience in my field of digital marketing.
I asked my managers if I could receive my pay grade information to keep with my own personal records and they said, “In the interest of confidentiality we cannot share that”.

So I’ve been in the SM game for about 2.5 years now and at my new gig it’s a huge workload. Any time I forget a small thing like a typo or wait till the next day to send an email because I was busy with last minute requests, I get called by my boss and the issue gets blown up.
