Are there any workarounds for a non signatory agency to have a SAG celebrity VO on a non-union television spot? What should I aim to become 4-5 years down the line ? Currently I m doing selenium automation testing with 8 yoe. Have experience in uft, api and desktop application automation and some of the devops application as well. And lots of other related knowledge and exposure. Should I aim to become Automation architect ? Solution architect is also for us ? What does solution architect do ?

So as much as I embrace the tenets of socialism, I have to admit: I'm not a part of a union. I don't know of any programmer's union and I don't know where to start if I want to organize in my own company.

Why have unions become so powerless in recent years? A decade ago, the collective bargaining units would get wage increases that matched or exceeded inflationary growth. Now we are lucky to see any positive integer offered.
