Love: WFH, Flexibility of not being “chained to desk” all day because I don’t have to take outside customer calls, ability to complete work assigned at any time of day within 72hrs, no micromanaging from my Supervisor, feeling like I’m my own boss

Hate: getting assigned bulks from others and it throws off efficiency of reviewing suits, monotony, depositions

Hi everyone! I’m an S1 in tax at a Big 4 in NY (only been here for a few months). I was recently offered a chance to join a long term engagement (at least one year) for a massive new client. I’ll only be focusing on the tax provision aspect for them. They’re building out a team just for this client from scratch. Do you think this is a good project to be on? Any negatives or drawbacks? Those of you who left for industry, what do you work towards in your role? I was reflecting on my time in public and there was always something, whether it was a new section in the file, getting more client contact, getting invited to a big golf outing, running the jobs, managing the jobs, etc. I worry that leaving would leave me bored and not motivated to hit any sort of goal. Found some random quora answer about converting it to individual policy before leaving, does anybody have any idea about this process.
