Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.

Toxic management is a huge issue, although I would say not all projects/accounts have the same scenario. If they retain you by revising CTC to around 13-14 LPA, you can stay back. You can take release afterwards. Now coming to HCL offer of 13.5 LPA, seems less cause you've to relocate to bangalore and the expenses are huge. Considering your YOE, it should have been min 20-22 LPA, ask them to increase CTC and simultaneously look for other opportunities. Good luck🤞
Retain can happen in tcs if your manager wants ...if you want to move out of the project itself for retention then chances are quite less...Also other factors affecting retention are
- project dependency
- Manager's want to or not
- If package is already same or high as per tcs work experience then they will try to retain with some onsite perks if available
Yes, just leave and join another company. If you don't like a work environment, it is better to move out as fast as you can. It's justifiable.
9yr..then tcs can go for 13 ...but depends on manager interest
That 13 will include variable as well
If you tech stack has market demand the the HR will deploy you in other project.
In this resource crunch if changing project is the condition for retention HR will accept that

Even if they try to retain its a trap they will have so many conditions if they provide u with a new hiked salary. And u won't see any growth in TCS. The management is toxic itself. It's better u move to other companies, atleast there u will get higher package and higher hikes

I am in the same boat. Joined as a lateral and allocated in the project without my willingness. Fought for almost an year and then dropped resignation.
Hr called next day. I told my demand as project release then complete silence after that.
