Big question for you guys! I’ve been an in house photographer for a mid size women’s clothing brand (500+ stores & ecomm) for over 5 years and shoot everything from on/off fig ecomm, flatlays, and campaigns. I’m the only staff photographer - freelancers get booked for the holes we need to fill on any given day. I currently make 60k. I’ve just been asked to take charge of our ecomm - oversee the freelance photographers & retouchers, art direct ecomm, and continue to shoot. Is 98k too much to ask?

How are people “smoothing” bonus payments? I have set my monthly budget, which puts some money into ETFs and a bit in cash. However, the bonus is an increasingly important TC part, which leads to me getting >1/3 of my salary in one month. Should I spread it also equally throughout the year into investment accounts or do a big lump sum?

When asking and being given the budgeted salary range for a specific role, how accurate is the range typically? Say they stated 120-140k? Would this most likely be on the lower end, or is it the actual budget for the role and there's not much room to give above? If offered the role, what would I expect and/or counter?
