I have an accepted an offer from Oracle and around 8 days are left for my joining. But right after getting Oracle's offer I received an offer from another company with similar package but my preference is to join the second company.

The manager of Oracle is really kind and always followed up with me during the whole procedure and I am really feeling bad and thinking how to say I won't be joining. Can you please suggest some most possible polite words of how to convey this to him?

Traveling from the south to the the north east/Boston area for the first time. What are must visit spots in New England area? Have 3 days.

Sister’s coming to town this weekend. Any fun things to do in Chicago? We’ve already visited the bean, art museum, Three arts club etc before

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

Is experienced hire strategy recruiting still on pause / pushed out to fall and beyond? Have two interviews that got pushed from March to TBD, wondering if I should continue networking to try to get some more opportunities or just chill. Haven’t seen anything but tech and bank roles

Working at ACN right now, 2 YOE. Will pivoting over to a startup in a more software sales-based role for another 2 years before my MBA (and moving internationally for this) add to, or take away from my story? I’m thinking:
Cons: less brand recognition, shows I didn’t stick around long enough to show progression, strength of recommenders, lower pay
Pros: international experience, less conventional background and shows I have a more diversified skill, probably more impact @ a startup.

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm being offered senior applications developer role.. although I applied for Senior MTS.. after 2 rounds of interview I didn't hear anything and almost 3 weeks later appeared for final round and got selected.. but for different role. Hi, How many days will it take for offer letter to be released from Oracle. I have completed all my rounds and done with my BGV documents upload by November mid. But still didn't receive the offer letter. Whenever i call HR he says 4 more days but it is being repeated from last 2+ weeks.
