I have been offered senior associte 2 role, i was asking for a manager role. But i was told you will be in SA2 and get promoted to M next year with good performance.

Is it possible to get promoted in a year from SA2 to M ?

I start my new job, tomorrow, as the “Client Relationship Leader” of a very large design fabrication company. I will have to abandon my Mac/Adobe creative suite upbringing and learn the PC platform for Corel (🤮), sketchup and some other 3D software. Normally and historically, this would be a deal breaker- as these programs run fine on a Mac- has anyone had to switch and how what we’re the biggest hurdles? I get on a PC and get so frustrated not being able to do what I want to do.

How different is litigating in-house vs. in private practice? I’m tired of litigating in private practice and am contemplating a move to an in-house litigation role with a public university—but the pay will definitely be less, so I don’t want to make the switch if it is going to just be the same hamster wheel. Any one made the jump and have thoughts/advice?

I switched recently (3 months back) with almost 200% hike but really feeling stressed out. I dont want to name the company but I feel very little belongingness here compared to other one. The pressure of standing out and getting my work highlighted is impacting my wlb.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
