I am seeking some guidance. I am a new medical social worker working in our hospital as the hospitals first social worker. So In addition to it being my first social work position in a hospital I am creating my position, with a lack of supervision. I am in rural mammoth lakes ca where the cost of living is very high (ski town). I have my BSW and am set to graduate with my MSW in December. Received a job offer via video call. The hiring manager was thoroughly providing pertinent information and everything was going well. Then as she said, “…with a starting salary of…” the connection cut out. 🤣 Came back on as she was explaining the time period for bonuses.

I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Thus far, he’s landed interviews with (all in Houston): Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, Kirkland, Winston Strawn, Reed Smith, Norton Rose, and Locke Lord. Also Perkins Coie in Dallas. He’s leaning transactional, but also open to litigation. Any insights/advice on these firms in the TX market? Any to avoid?

I have a post-MBA offer with Accenture Strategy and I'm seeking advice on whether I should pursue this offer, or if I should continue to recruit for MBB (which may open more doors/opportunities). I previously worked 4 years at Deloitte Consulting.

Where do people from Accenture Strategy (not Accenture Management Consulting) tend to go? Is it possible to have similar opportunities as MBB firms or do you have to work harder to get MBB-type opportunities?

Which pays better and has better career highlights, FAANG or BIG4 or MBB or big Inv. Banks. I agree it depends on person to person, but it adds value to resume, get LOR from Dr, VP or PI-AP.

Hi all, I joined a company 7 weeks ago as a motion graphics designer in the marketing team. 5 weeks after I joined, two coworkers in my team, both titled marketing associate handed in two weeks notice and leaving on the same day. They told me the reason they leave is because of the head of marketing who was my hiring manager during the interview process. I am working as a JL6 employee (8 years of IT exp) in Infy with an approx CTC of 17.5 lpa (including allowances). I have a got a verbal offer from TCS for Rapid Automation Lead (C3A band) in the CoE team with 50% hike on my current CTC. Though I have asked for 60% hike, HR said she will get back to me on my ask. Now, there is a possibility that Infy might initiate UK visa for me in the upcoming months which would be ICT visa only. Just wanted your thoughts on TCS' work culture etc.
