I have 15 YOE all in health IT consulting in T2, mostly running large technology implementations for providers. I’m tired of the consulting grind and am contemplating going to industry. The easy path of an IT exec position with a typical client of mine (large health systems) does not appeal to me. I find the idea of going to more innovative companies (big tech, health tech startups, provider or payer disrupters) more appealing.

How do I get into Consulting? I don’t know anything about solving case studies or have never actually competed in case competitions. Are my doors closed? Any steps to segue my career towards that?
