Not an ex big 4 myself but sharing some thoughts.
I’d make sure you have something on your resume to show leadership/community involvement. Outside of work is better vs like being the work united way leader…..can help people stand out.
If you’re still under 4/5 YOE then you join as a BA so would be a title drop, could be worth considering waiting if you want to join as an associate.
The easiest path is still the MBA otherwise it would be networking in!
Good luck!
M1 Thank you very much for the inputs here! I found sometimes it’s hard to find leadership experience outside of work, do you have any examples or suggestions?
And for the title drop, to be honest, that’s ok with me since I am still a “rookie” anyways, I don’t really mind working ground up again and I think the platform is what really matters.
I’ve considered MBA but it’s also just financially I am not able to make that commitment and since I just graduated 2020, I am thinking of doing it maybe later in my career. As I do see MBA as a one of the life time shuffle opportunity.
Would love to hear more of your thoughts and hope to further connect with you if that’s possible! Thank you!
