Go for used car. Use it, learn better and after 1-2 year go for new one.
Yeah !!
Never go for 2nd hand cars, you won't get that feeling. Buy Tata Nexon which will best suits your budget.. Also don't forget to mark "L" on your new car.
I Personally keep baseball bat in my new Nexon. As I have seen many street fights post accident. And you can easily recover your car damage or put equal amount of damage to their vehicles.. ๐ ๐
As per section 2C of arms act, possession of any kind of arms which includes bat/hockey stick/baseball bat/timber stick, etc.. inside car comes under punishable offence.

Go for new car(basic Hyundai hatchback, can get upto 9LPA in one lower than the topmost version)
Don't be afraid of few dents and scratches to new car. Your safety and safety of others is the topmost priority. So don't get trapped in the "second hand car for learning", you won't feel connected experience in used car
In new car, you will treat it as your precious and even if there are few cracks and dents while learning, you would be able to claim those in bumper to bumper insurance
Iterating again "be safe and and keep others safe, cars can be repaired, but lives can't"
Yeah thanks and last lines ๐๐
Chief
Would suggest a second hand car for couple of years if you a learner..
Okay thanks !!
I recently bought a second hand car and let me tell you my opinion:
1. If you are a learner, go for used car.
2. Depreciation cost on used car would beared by owner.
3. I bought car from Spinny and trust me their services are best. You will feel like the car is almost new and not the used one and along with you get many after sales services from spinny.
4. If you don't want to involve any third party in between, go for direct deals within family and relatives.
5. Set your requirements first, that will help you to decide. My req was (First Owner, KMs less than 30k, Petrol, Manual, Model not less than 2015)
You can get Alto, Celerio, Renault Kwid, WagonR around 3.5 lakh.
Hope this helps! Thanks
Hi, I am also planning the same. Was searching on cars24. Mine is <50K and first owner. Checked I20 around <3 lakhs. Thinking it is good deal. I would also be a learner. My running won't be much, bearly 30K Kms in 5 years. Do you think is it advisable to go for such cars planning for 5 years? Year was 2012-13 I guess.
You can go for second hand but research on it properly before buying. It will save you lot of money I got good deal.
Sure. Thanks !!
You can get a second hand car from services. On a little extra cost you get your peace of mind. Cars price depreciate a lot, so that means you can get almost a new looking car too in price of a second hand car.
Yeah thanks !!
Rising Star
Second hand car these days are not cheap and you may need to spend money later to maintain that. I won't advise you purchasing second hand considering no cost benefit .
Ps : I am also undergoing same phase as of yours
True that !!
I would suggest buying a new car, it doesn't matter even if you are still learning. You can get hold of it in a few months. Buying a old car is fine but the ownership experience may not be as good as buying a new car. Best wishes. Happy and safe driving.
Yeah buying a used car wouldn't give me that feeling
Been in the same situation recently. New driver, so went for the used car. But some pointers as follows
1. With your budget, you may buy a good new automatic car, like Tata Punch. 5 star safety, and ease of automatic. I feel anyone can drive automatic, new or old driver.
2. I did not want to splurge on car, and did not want EMI at all, specially during the market downturn, so went for used one.
3. Waiting period of new car is lot these days, plus higher price due to silicon issue. If you buy old one right now, you can upgrade it to a new one at maybe a cheaper cost in 3 years.
Yes, exactly what I am thinking as well. We can add one more point to this, After 3-4 years the electric infra would be better as well and the costs of electric vehicles would be a bit better. Like instead of 40% premium over ICE cars, it may come down to 20%.
If you want to buy a new car, don't go for any KIA. Although features and price wise it's great but the waiting period is more than 6 months. Whatever the dealer says - it will be 6 months+. Don't trust the dealers.
Go for tata...safety is upmost and u get feel in nexon
Go for xl6
Go for TATA tigor xz+ icng
It has low maintenance, fule efficiency is great and it is under your budget. You'll save couple of lakhs here. This car is around 10 lac on road in Pune. You can save 2 lac in a account and use it for fule. It gives an average of 25-30kmpl on cng and 18-22kmpl on petrol. You can easily cover 3 years of your petrol expenses. Also it has all the features you need to travel comfortably. It has a decent boot space, can fit 2 suite cases easly and leg room and headroom is good. It is a value for money car.
Sure ill think of it
Polis your skills using zoom car
You mean taking their car on rental hours and practicing my driving on their car? Like that ?
Check for Renault Triber
sure
I did the same and purchased a used car ( WagonR VXi 1.2 2019 ) for more hands on experience & luckily I'm using it since now & it's working very fine.
Yeah im too thinking of buying used car
Go for 2nd hand if u r not confident
Ohh okay !!
Go for used vitara brezza diesel variant very reliable machine and 4star safety rating and very high fuel efficiency and top class vehicle service support.. tata & mahindra after sale service is very poor
Yeah in maruti suzuki i personally like this brezza
Bro , buy base model tata punch and then modify it
NCAP safety ratings is 5
As you are not confident, I would suggest buying a second hand car from the dealers
Yeah tata cars are most safest cars in india
