I have been hearing from most of the non EY guys that GDS is all about sitting in the back office and attending to EY onshore's requirements. No direct client interaction. Is it so?

Joining GDS as Analyst 3 from recently promoted to a consultant at Deloitte India. (Exactly same level of designation)
Tried to negotiate with HR about the designation to be upgraded to Ass. Consultant but they denied.
Feeling a bit weird moving in to analyst position. Please guide me.
