I recently interviewed at a company and the hiring manager(HM) asked for my expected salary and said that he will make it same & forward to HR.
But had a HR discussion today and they are saying that it’s not in the budget and want to come down.
I went back to the HM, he said that he’ll be talking to the HR , and after that HM said that it’s a little hard for the leadership team and hence, would be discussing with the VP if that could be offered.Will they come back now or I lost job?

Need help with something. I got an offer of 18LPA (Hybrid but currently WFH) in the Bangalore location. My current company has already provided me with a permanent WFH option and CTC is 13LPA with allowances. When I discussed this offer with my current company they offered me two options.
- They can pay me the difference in CTC as a one-time payment.
- If I need the change in CTC, wait for 6 months and CTC will be matched to the current offer.

Which of these is the best option?
