I'm currently serving notice period and had taken some sick leaves. Now the supervisor has escalated this to HR on the grounds productivity loss and all. HR is saying the LWD will be extended to compensate those sick leaves and asked me to check with my supervisor as they can't do anything.
Both the supervisor and the HR are intending to extend my LWD.

Can anyone advise on this.

I have been invited to move up to the junior partner level in my mid-sized insurance defense/medical malpractice defense firm, but the terms essentially make me an independent contractor. What does your firm's junior partner track look like? I have been offered 50% of all income brought in, but I have to deal with my own insurance, pay all my own benefits, and handle my own insurance. Is this normal?

I bounced from consulting last year, but very much hate my current role. The company is well known and large, but not very transparent or concerned about treating employees well. I have a vacation planned for end of August, but I got an offer this week. PTO is not paid out and I can't quit and use vacation to extend my 2 week notice.

Thoughts on how to handle? Give 1 week notice. Give notice 1 week before vacation and offer to work 1 week after vacation. Don't want to lose my 7 PTO days.

Company A giving me Wfh + 20 LPA(15% variable) Company B was giving 18.75( All fixed) hybrid model.

Reason for rejecting Company B was Company A giving me more package and wfh , but now I heard that company A may ask to come to office.

So now I am more inclined towards company B. So how to ask HR again for the offer after rejecting and also how can I still ask them to give wfh for a year atleast due to personal medical reasons

PwC Fish - I’m considering where to have a baby, either the US or Austria (I currently live in Vienna, but thinking to move home to the US). What’s maternity leave in the US? How much does it actually cost to have a baby with our insurance? In Austria, I can take up to a year off, but only receive €2,000 a month from the government 😳… I don’t think there is any paid leave through the firm. Pregnancy through birth costs are pretty covered by insurance though. Would love your thoughts!

I missed adding parents in health insurance for this financial year. my father cancer surgery happened and I spend 15 lakh from savings and debt. Their is further spends in next financial year April and May for chemotherapy & radiation.

If I add parent in health insurance in April ( next financial cycle) . Will I get claim ?? Since it is existing disease. Please help me out if anyone knows

It needs to go through some approvals and it takes 2 days to time. But it's been a week, yet I haven't received any offer letter. Today I called hr, but she is not answering my calls. Will I receive offer letter ?? How many days it takes??
