Is it fine if they offer you 20 LPA and make you Assistant Manager?
Why designation is your concern?
Good point👍

I am surprised to see such comments. Designation doesn't matter to smarter people in IT industry but work profile and CTC matters. Remember it doesn't matter to anyone if you are VP or developer, nobody cares or respect you because of your designation outside your organisation. I have seen VP of an MNC making less than developers .
You are not into govt. job

Focus on company profile and work profile which you gonna do instead of these funky designation names.
Bro, designations doesn’t matter much in private companies(unless ur a director), what matters is how much u’ll get , profile, growth & learning and wlb. If offer is good, SE and SSE doesn’t have much difference

I have 4 offers :
22 LPA - Senior DevOps Engineer
20 LPA - High Level Assistant Manager (don't know what high level means)
20 LPA - Senior Associate
24 LPA - IT Analyst
.... Basically designation does not matter
WLB is good at 20 LPA companies, so I will be going ahead with either of them

Hiya I work as a recruiter.
It is worth joining Product org.as they will be adding to your tech stack + money (Not only for the time you enter the org, through out the time you stay even if you leave then you would be absorbed by another Product org.easily).
Designations doesn’t matter at all till you are not in managerial positions.
Every org.has their own internal job levels which they define as per experience level to maintain the parity across the org.
So don’t get bothered about it.
Be very selfish in picking up the tech stack, the org, your going to be manager and on average for how much time do people stick to that org.
Which company is offering you this ?

Thanks guys for your feedback.
Just had some doubts whether it would make it difficult to explain the designation difference in future interviews? Or do companies take into consideration the reasons behind that?
Designations vary from place to place, so it doesn't matter.
What matters is your role and responsibility for that designation.
Example: At 8 years you are Lead Consultant in Genpact, whereas in TCS you are not even consultant, Associate Consultant.
