what’s the normal % for RSUs compared to salary for tech sales? e.g 10% RSUs or 20k per year RSUs with a 200k salary

Week 2 at new company that goes off Chinese custom. Most employees are Chinese citizens on visa. I noticed something odd about some of their employment agreements, they are paid 85% salary during probation of 6 months. If performance is good, they get the full 100% after month 6. I personally have never seen this, nor do I think this is legal in the US let alone WA/CA. Trying to get them up to compliance but this one has me stumped. My gut says this is illegal. All employees are engineers.

Just wanted to post an update. 68 weeks ago I posted about my drinking problems. It was bad. It’s been 8 months now without a single drink. I still can’t believe it. I still miss drinking. I’ve sat with coworkers and watched them drink. It’s not nearly as fun, but I am so thankful each morning I can hold my head up high. Will I drink again? I only said I would quit for 60 days. Can I have a beer? Some wine? A fine bourbon? I sometimes crave it. I guess there is the answer! You can all do this!

I have been working out with a trainer three times a week since having my baby this past august. However, I am still holding on to an extra 10 pounds due (I think) to my eating habits. Given that I love pasta, pizza, and all things carby any tips for shedding the remaining weight? I am okay with a gradual pound a week plan but am open to ideas! Corporate suggested me for a DON position in TX. I currently live in SD and work as ADON. Corporate said minimum salary would be 115k. Then flew me there for 2 weeks to see the building (nursing home). They all loved me, as does corporate. But my offer today was 90k. When I said I was told 115k they countered with 100k. I said I’d think about it over the weekend but really am looking for at least 110k. Have to sell my house and move and rebuy w higher interest rates. What do you think??

Joined LTI in June in Citi bank account. But still no onboarding. Many people waiting for VDI. Manager said it's freeze from Citi side process is slow. Now they have started releasing people. It's easy to get another project on bench. Will LTI ask to resign?

IBM is offering me the position of Test Specialist with 7A band but it has offered the position of Senior Consultant with 6B band to my friend.

We both are having 6 YOE in Testing and have been tagged to the same project in IBM.

Then why this difference?? Am I loosing out on my designation?? Or is my friend loosing out on band??

Recently my company has added a new component in salary which has increased overall CTC of every employee.


We've not received any revised salary breakup only an official email stating everyone's CTC is increased. Started receiving salary based on the updated CTC.


When trying to make a switch, new firm is asking for revised salary breakup but I've shared the email screenshot along with my salary slips showing my increased salary. But HR said she needs updated salary breakup.

Having made my way from a Java developer to Rpa developer and now into consulting, what would be the lead role for me next.

I have always been very resilient and can grasp any tech quickly as i already know Java, Dot Net, Python, RPA and SQL.

I you get released from and project and you are in pool under a manager but not RMG in tcs ,and you resign so notice period remains same 90 days or can be reduced ?
