Hello everyone! First-time poster here. I've been in a specific industry for 20 years and left a leadership position 1yr ago. I took a break for myself! I've been on the hunt for my new adventure (not in that industry). I am finding it hard! Majority of the time I don't hear back. When I do get interviews, I get "we decided not to fill this role," or I get to the final round and am not selected. I am looking for advice on my resume and cover letter. I want to get more hits on my applications.

I am a physician with extensive informatics background and experience. Eventually, I would to be in a position similar to a CMIO. Any advise on next steps? Anyone looking for a CMIO or ACIO?

I'm halfway through a contract position and enjoying it, and would like to transfer to full-time, but I worry about the 90-day gap in employment and that I wouldn't be able to find the same position remotely with this company. (have finance probs I won't delve into now.) Not sure how to a) tell my manager that I want to transfer to FTE but do not want to move or b) how/when to figure out my next move. So squirrels decided to eat my engine harness (thanks Honda for your eco friendly wiring).
I got it fixed but the acceleration still feels sluggish even when slamming the acceleration on sport mode. It’s a 2017 Honda Civic turbo and used to have a pretty fun acceleration. Any ideas what could be the culprit or where to look? Things like bad ECU/ messed up turbo/ air leak?

My job (biglaw, finance, midlevel) is a poor fit overall — both in the adhd sense and more broadly in that it doesn’t really play to my strengths. I am also your usual high achieving people pleaser (such a common species in this job). The combination of all of the above means I am unhappily slogging uphill to be a B/B+ associate in a job that doesn’t interest me in the least. I am planning to make a change in the spring. If what I wrote resonates, are you happier in-house? Any other thoughts?
