I just got staffed as S Associate on R2R (GL) track. I have exposure to GL from a high level but I’m not an accountant where as the module lead is a CPA. I don’t have a strong accounting background, which I think will make it difficult for me. Any experience is good experience, but I want to position myself for growth and to be promoted to manager you have to be able to lead a module. I don’t know if I will be able to lead GL but with some more experience in PPM I think I can lead. What do I do?

Hey guys. Just finished my 4th audit busy season at Deloitte (so going from Senior 2 to Senior 3). Expecting new base to be 90K effective May. Considering applying for FDD senior role at PwC. First 2 said yes; mom of kid 3 texted to ask if I was OK w our kids going to other sleepover; and mom also caught on voicenote telling her kid sleepovers OK, just didn't always have to be w my kid. I received an offer from PWC India with CTC 9.5L my current is 5.5L. I have another offer in pipeline from concentrix with 11L. Will PWC match my counter offer? I want to join big 4 but salary is my primary reason to switch. My yoe is 4.4 and skills are BI and SQL. And I am also worried about future recession and potential layoff because of high salary.

So I applied for a position & received feedback from the hiring manager stating that the position that I applied for was filled internally but they would like consider me for another position. So I interviewed and two days later, I was offered the position. Went through a background check & negotiated salary. It’s been almost 2 months and they stated that the delay is due to internal HR issues since the dept director did not create a new job requisition for the job they offered me. Thoughts?

I had an in person interview on Friday morning and sent a thank you email eod Friday. Now I’m wishing I would have asked when to expect to hear back. It was a panel interview with a smaller municipality. How do people deal with the wait game, how long do I wait before reaching out? I felt very good about it but now each day that passes I feel less confident! Help!
