Hey OP, it’s nice to know that your brother grew interest in technology and wants to pursue a career in salesforce. Always remember degree is just a piece of paper doesn’t matter if it’s from Accountig, Econ or Btech. Your brother can pursue any career he wants as longs he proves himself getting salesforce admin or developer Certs. This will basically prove to the employer that he’s serious in pursuing this career with salesforce and will have a better chance of getting a recruiter call just on the certs. I’m an accounting major who did learn Salesfroce from YouTube and worked for big 4 companies. It’s all about how you present yourself. Good luck.

Fellow Economics grad here. You're brothers chance of success will increase greatly if he does the following: (1) start building a small project , using Salesforce, that applies to his life ( i.e grade/coursework tracker if he is still in school, stamp collection, coin collection, etc . You get the idea . (2)Then, display handiwork in Salesforce portfolio... There is an excellent trail m on Salesforce trailhead.. called "build a Salesforce portfolio" on this. (3) spruce up his Linked portfolio.. Show the newly built Salesforce portfolio on the features portion of the LinkedIn profile. (4) After above or during: Study for and pass Administrator cert.. Those are some starting steps that should keep him busy, yet started down the right path as well.

... please feel free to DM me if you want any more tips or if you need any additional help with the above. It won't be easy, but it is well worth it. 😀😀

Hi Fishes, I have received an offer of 28 LPA for Lead I - Software Developer position at UST Global. I would be joining Bangalore location. I am Appian Developer with 6 years of experience. Since I did not get to interact with any UST employees (other than HR) during the interview process, could anyone tell me more about the company and its culture? PS: Would like to connect with Appian professionals working there, if possible.

What do you all do to make non-professional / personal connections? Particularly with the Coronavirus, and being in domestic relations, I wake up, go to work, work out, go home. So outside of law, my interactions with people are only at the gym given that my area is draining— particularly at the moment. Probably a good thing for now; but if we take coronavirus out of the equation, I’m interested what others in the community do to develop personal connections.

I’m a Product Manager who wants to change careers. What is a job where I can work independently and am more task oriented? Meaning I want to know what I have to do for the day, and I can knock it out at my own pace. Maybe it’s COVID, but I’m sick of meetings with other people and simply want to be the owner of the outcome instead of being dependent on other departments/people. Obviously bonus points if it’s a sensible transition from a PM!
