Hi fishes, Need suggestions please. I am on my notice period and my current company have me 40% hike to retain me. They asked before sending the appraisal whether I will take back my resignation to which I said yes. I already had an offer from a service based company, giving me 90% hike, still thought of continuing. But now after appraisal came, I got through a product based company who is offering around 120% hike. Now my manager wants me to withdraw my resignation. What to say to my manager?

If you still havent withdrawn your resignation yet... you have an upper hand. If you feel like joining the company giving you 120% hike then go for it. Have no regrets in life as ot can hamper your performance if you stay back. Just inform your manager that you have got another better offer which is like your dream job... you have akways wanted it... make it sound like you got an offer from Facebook... cook some solid story regarding why u cant continue.... :) all the best

Product based companies are always the priority even if they offer a few grands less than the service based companies. The typical hike in the service based industry for a 4/5 rating is 7-8%. On the other hand, the same kind of performance in a product based company will yield you at least 15%. You don’t have to work just for a year. Think about subsequent appraisals as well.

A couple of weeks ago I filed a default package, asking for 60k. Mind you, to get to this point, complaint was never answered, statement of damages was served, heard nothing, request for entry of default filed and served, heard nothing. But now, out of the blue, my firm gets a call from defendant’s attorney, asking us to stip to put aside default. Thoughts on how to proceed.... do I agree to stip? Or do I tell them to shove it just like they did to my clients complaint?

Why do we celebrate diversity and not just people? Celebrating diversity is offensive to 'diverse’ people as they don’t like to be treated as corporate trophies and is discriminatory against white men
