What is the procedure of giving a notice period? Is it just a mail to the HR and the immediate manager?
If i drop the papers, and say they match my cctc to the new companies ctc.. Can i take my resignation back?
Will this effect any of my future performance ?

Hi there! After 4 months of interviews at Google UK, recruiter said I was going to hiring committee. Yet yesterday, he called me to tell me that the role had been “de-prioritised” and I can’t reach the hiring committee just yet. He said there could be a 1 month delay, 6 months or that the role could even get cancelled. As he’s quite new in the company he couldn’t tell me more. Is this common? Should I wait? Is the likeliness that the role will re-open down the line? I feel a bit helpless
