How do you all set boundaries and keep work from creeping into your time with your family every day? As a new mom going back to work I’m finding this to be difficult. I was always available and did whatever needed to be done before having a child, but now I really want to be able to shut down at the end of the day and be done, so I can soak up time with my baby.

Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.

Apparently IAPP had a webinar this week on hiring in the privacy field. My mentee and a few law students I know all watched and it sounds like a lot of the advice was pretty bad. I had my PDM round on previous Thursday and the salary discussion also done on that call only, I uploaded the documents on very next day i.e. on last Friday. How much time it would take to rollout an offer in IBM?
(Also yesterday I had received one progress mail from IBM, that my documents is in progress and they have asked me upload my PAN card.)

On Monday I asked IBM HR for counter offer. I shared counter offer too but I haven't heard anything. I called but she said will need 3-4 working days. Just a thought, Should I start communication over email? Because whatever we had discussed is verbally.

Is IBM have fixed band of salary. Because HR is saying they can not pay beyond their 'pay band' though you have higher amount offer from other company (NTT data)
