Fairly new at a Big 4 in their tech consulting practice but looking to make the move to mbb/tier 2 to gain a broader experience. Does it look bad to apply to these firms after barely 6 months in?
What’s a good role/ YOE in industry to boomerang to consulting. I have worked at 2 big 4 firms in post MBA advisory roles & exited as manager. Now in industry doing corp strategy work for 6/7 years. Current title is director. Can I try to get hired as an MD at any of the big 4/ other T2?
Any B4 partner on here care to explain how firms are having record years in revenue, while also cutting down on the massive travel expenses from past years, but still managed to take away bonuses, raises, and even some people’s job? Genuinely curious as to how this could possibly be justified.
B4 Senior FDD new Ba$es: S1 through S3 please
EY-Parthenon and Strategy& friends, how do you deal with being mistaken as accountants at a big 4 😭😭😭
Quick suggestions from everyone
I am having 3.5 YOE working mostly in GCP, azure databricks and all. My current ctc is 17lpa
Need suggestions is that down the line I want to become a consultant in big 4 or any other major company like fractal, ZS or any other.
Please suggest what should i be focusing on.
Mba is out of scope for me since family issues.
How much does consultants at sap get paid? Seems low compare to big 4 consultants on Glassdoor, is it true?
Anyone from B4 audit able to speak to their success (or lack of) getting into M7 MBA? Grades and GMAT will likely be good enough (3.95, ~740) but obviously actual work experience not the most prestigious despite the decent name recognition.
I have 2 outstanding offers from EY and KPMG in the Finance Transformation group. Does anyone have any insight on the WLB right now, with the labor shortage and pipeline being crazy?
Also, does anyone have any insight to how difficult the transition will be from being a manager at a middle market firm into a manager at the B4? If someone else has done the transition how long did it take to get your feet under you?
Left b4 consulting for f500 industry (pharma). Much of what was promised was blatantly false or hasn’t panned out. However, the pay (around 300k) and WLB are real. And work is somewhat interesting - just isn’t what i signed up for, moves at a glacial pace and i have doubts about the potential of much of what my team is doing.
Am i crazy for considering returning to consulting like MBB in an M level role? In low 30s now and we have a very young child. Please roast me if i need to hear it. TIA!
Up for promotion to manager, have an offer to leave Big 4 for a 35% pay bump. Would you try to negotiate if you know others who have jumped to the same company for 15% more?
Would anyone be willing to answer a few questions that I have for an FDD interview at one of the big 4? It’s a case study. Interview is tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated.
What quality of MBA opportunities are available for big 4 FAAS/CMAAS/AAS/ARA 4-5 years out of undergrad? Is m7 out of the question?
With 3 more days till CPA score release, how embarrassing is it to fail AUD if your a big 4 auditor?
Does o9 pay well? Glassdoor looks meh, but a decent amount of MBB and B4 folks are going there, so maybe they’re getting a lot of equity. Anyone familiar with what their packages look like?
Is consulting just an eyewash concept to steal... or the money a customer invests with BIG 4 really worth it?? How about some examples of innovation and value for money??
I’m one of very few creative women in my shop...there are none in creative leadership. Would love a female mentor who I could show my book to, ask questions, and get general advice from. 🤞
Everything I've dealt with in public has been a cakewalk compared to dealing with watching my older dog's health fail.
