Man you should not look at ctcs like this, you should have a ctc decided on your mind before switching anywhere (by analysing the market, understanding what others are getting, jot down what you want to save, your needs and haves and monthly expenditure) but if you keep looking someone or the other eventually will be earning more than you. Dont be in the rat race are sharmaji ka ladka zyada kama rha hai mai switch karunga. This is not right mate, be calm you have just recently switched, the reason for switch surely can be monetary but it cant be solely monetary. Please have a break relax yourself, digeat your juniors are earning more, You are thinking it just in 2 YOE, think there are managers who might be getting less paid than their employees right now, dont just compare always.
Many folks doesn't even cross the 10 LPA border for 7-10 years being in IT
And many folks font even cross 5 LPA mark(Non IT) please consider Fortunate enough to bag these salaries. I have seen folks with 5K salary per month and have a family of 4. And also folks earning lesser.
And just don't rush blindly for money seeing someone getting more than you. If this was the case attrition would have been like more than 50% for all the companies. IT is just not about getting salary, there is learning growing, team bonding and lot of things involved, Humble request you are at your early stages, dont follow money look for skills you can develop on company and outside company and try to have a bond with colleagues , relations are more important and crucial than just money.
I have 2.8 yoe, I'm settling for 14 lpa, lol. And even if people are getting 20 or 30 with same yoe, its okay. I want to settle with my ask only for now. Its way more than what I first imagined I would get, so not greedy anymore. I aimed for 9-10 initially though. 😊
My cCTC is 4.3 with 10 more days in NP and some companies are still calling to offer 16-18 as well but I'm not interested actually. Not interested in the companies who are reaching out in the last minute.
Hey it's okay to feel such way because at the end we're all humans. Your view into this topic might be biased because you're taking into consideration of your friends who have recently made a switch into a bigger package, what about those of your friends who are still working with the same or even lower packages compared to you? You really cannot look into other's lane and compare your CTC and get either sad/happy, because everyone has their own journey and lane, and it's solely dedicated to their own journey.
Wishing you the best for your journey. 😊
P.S.: I felt the same for quite sometime, but I stuck to my own path and even recently I switched for a better package, and I am content now. Always have an outline for your career, you really cannot plan your career with other people's. But always remember this quote "With Great package, comes great Responsibility" 😁
2 YOE ke junior matlab 1+ YOE and they are getting 20LPA??? and here I could only manage 27LPA with 8+ YOE.. there are some seriously talented people out there or there is some serious flaw in my negotiation skill.
Flaw is mugups coding questions and crack them lol even if you don't have any idea in practical. The waste thing about IT industry
I have 1.5+ yoe and i am earning 3.6lpa. Consider yourself lucky.
That doesn't mean he's lucky. That, in plain words means, you're not at his level. And he needs to compare up instead of comparing down to progress. People who earn more aren't "lucky" I mean come on.
You are a junior yourself with 2 YOE. Have patience
Yeah. Exactly. Junior of 2 years of experience 😂
20lpa will demand 20 hours of work, look at that fact 🤣
Hey Software engineer 3, whats yr tech ...and must say thats a handsome salary
Request everyone not to jump higher than your skills. All the people who are doing/getting these blind/lucky switches (without matching their skill sets according to compensation), will face severe issues in future.
So, PLEASE DON'T RUN BLINDLY FOR MORE PACKAGE. Think of sustaining in industry for longer!
Paisa mil jayega, but always remember:
Your current Skillset and proficiency should always be able to justify your compensation. And you're the best judge for yourself. (Sabko pata hai apne baare mai).
DON'T BLINDLY COMPARE YOURSELF WITH ANYONE!
Hope this helps.
Relax dude, earning more will not get you what you might think it would. I have been at your place - when i earned 6 i wanted 12, when i earned 12 i wanted 20, when i earned 20 i wanted 30 lpa and now after 4 years into this industry, all i want is some rest and peace of mind 😂
Earning more also equals more responsibilities , taxes and more working hours, enjoy your freedom while you still can!
Also most these companies would give 11-12 fixed for 20 ctc which is not a great call since these juniors would still be earning more or less the same in-hand amount but will need to pay higher taxes than you!
This is so apt!!!
For how long will you run after others' actions.
2 YOE is too less to think about Money. In fact, for the first 5 yrs min, focus on your learning.
Your aim - be the most dependable on your team/group.
Once you feel you are not getting anything new, leave FOR LEARNING for the first 5 yrs min.
Have patience, money will come.

5 years is too much.
Go with your gut feeling don't compare packages as at some point of time in career your friends will have less package and you'll have more , don't chase packages , your are at early stage of your career build strong expertise and this will cover up all the package difference , settle for something where you get enough salary and great working and learning curve
With 2.7 YOE i have 3lpa😖😖
You need to switch asap
My YOE ~6 YEARS
Getting <14 lpa
That too working in AI and ML 🤦
@KPMG 1 I had worked on chatbots integrated into various systems in production, Various NLP systems like text categorisation, extraction, summarisation, Computer vision, Document Understanding, Object Detection, Tracking, counting etc., On the whole end to end process (data collection to production deployment and monitoring)
Yeah my skills and my package doesn't match at all

Kids these days want to earn 1 crore salary without any experience.
I think those days are coming when CEOs will have 0 salary and kids will be earning in crores.
I was earning this much with 6 yrs of experience after a PhD. Different domain though. Now I am earning enough and it makes me content.
Everyone is IT so greedy it seems. Why can't we be happy with what I have? This comparison is main reason of stress, anxiety, drug abuse of this generation. Sorry for being so blunt but it's really sad.

Good point. May I know your industry and your growth in it in terms of CTC vs YOE. Just for curiosity
Considering I am getting paid 2.4 lac for 2.6 yoe as Flutter and codeiginiter 4, laravel developer your package looks very big to me 🥲
😭😭😭
Hey, I think you should not pay heed to most of the comments herein. I actually agree with you that in the current job market, if you back your skills, you should definitely push for better opportunities and a better ctc. I've roughly an year's experience professionally but I've recently switched and getting 20 base myself. In fact ik 2-3 other folks. Look for industries with better current and future growth prospects. Look what you can bring to them. Understand the employment demand supply dynamics. And then apply. Best of luck with your pursuit of happiness xD
Where are they going ?
What is theie tech stack ?
@ 20lpa ctc 11-12fixed . Even Microsoft follows same pattern isme kya hei

So you are ok with your life if not for your juniors getting more than you? This way you have to keep running for the rest of your life.
