Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company BCG vs Bain? I am lucky to have two offers for same city same level. I like both firms and no strong “cultural” preferences between the two. I am interested in transitioning to a PE investment team (MF) or staying in consulting long-term w/ MBA sponsorship. Bain PEG is commercially stronger but heard it doesn’t make a meaningful difference. Think BCG in general has a slightly larger reputation, esp. internationally. What factors should I be considering?

I made one mistake in my life (ZS --> Axtria) and then very desperately rectified it in 9 months (Axtria --> ZS). People in ZS >>>>>>> People inAxtria
In ZS you can get around 14 + bonus. Great culture But I'll warn you, WLB is challenging here.
Average package is 14 base with 8-15% year end bonus + a retention program that gives around 5-8 across 2-3 years.. overall much better package and growth opportunities with questionable wlb but if you're thinking wrt axtria would recommend joining ZS.
14 lac base + 1 lac JB (They might skip so ask for it) + 65K relocation+ 9 lac ELRP across 4 yrs + 5.5 K pm for food + free transportation
Try staying at Axtria
Axtria has a better WLB. Take a offer from ZS for 13-14 base and negotiate with Axtria. They do counter offer, this way you will get a better offer in terms of compensation along with decent WLB.
Go for ZS. It will give you better package 14 plus rentention bonus plus performance bonus plus joining bonus (negotiate). Wlb is challenging but may be comparable to axtria. Better brand name of zs.
At AC level the work pressure is too much from every side. In case you don't like the idea of working till 1am for a month or two for the initial days of your staffing then go for other one. Otherwise things would keep slipping and would certainly effect reviews. If that's fine then work for ZS, everything else is very appreciated in every respect.

You should get >13 as base and atleast 10% variable. Negotiating should get you around 15 base and a decent joining bonus too. ZS is a better brand in pharma consulting, but WLB is worse compared to Axtria so decide accordingly
What’s your long term goal? I have been at ZS long time so am definitely biased but am glad I chose ZS over all the other offers I had out there and many of which were higher than the ZS offer in the short term.

ZS>> Axtria anyday. You can check glassdoor also. Only WLB is slightly better at Axtria At ZS, you will get gross pay anything between (13-16) + 60K (relocation bonus) + 9 lakhs elrp (across 4 years, but each comes with 8 months lock in ; You have to stay 1 years 8 months 1.5 lakh (first installment of ELRP) otherwise you will have to return. You will get though as you complete 1 year. 66k food allowance + free transport (once office opens) Joining Bonus (1 lakh) - Not sure if you will get or not
I have worked with both ZS and Axtria for close to 2.5 years each. ZS will teach you to work smart and you will learn a lot from your seniors and peers. Axtria has a decent work life balance but growth in Axtria can be slow as promotions are annual and reviews aren't transparent and dependent on your rapo with leadership.
