I had an Italian intern late 2019 to early 2020 who was technically my direct report but only because I had the headcount - he actually worked in marketing and reported to someone there. We had always had a good working relationship and we were only a couple years age difference. After his last official day of work I took him to dinner to celebrate and we hooked up that night / all weekend... he went back to Italy and we’ve been dating since. You truly never know where you will find someone!

How has internship hiring been adjusted given the recent hiring push? On one hand, there's extreme growth and need for talent. On the other, interns don't convert to full time for over a year from acceptance, so by then the labor demand may have subsided. Any insights?

What should I expect as a KPMG Audit intern this summer?

Getting an internship as a Masters student - I have been looking for an internship in the NLP field for the upcoming summer but find it extremely hard to get one. 1) there aren’t many companies that offer internships in this field 2) a lot of them (esp big ones, which tend to offer internship in this field) require a PhD… My question is - does it make sense for a master student enrolled in a 2-year program to get an internship during summer?

The current offer I have gives 60% pay increase and Partner still can’t match that offer after promotion.
