I recently got offer letter from kyndryl. my YoE is 11.5 Years and skill set is that of DevOps (Python, Ansible, AWS, rDBMS, shell etc). Kyndryl offered the band 7a with salary 21lpa. Am I underpaid? Should I have asked for more?

Have you ever been fired or laid off? I’m currently experiencing a feral bout of burnout that makes me feel helpless and hopeless. My only respite, as I slog through the days is, “what’s the worse that can happen? Fire me?” If the worse happened, would I get a severance or would I immediately be off the payroll and need to collect unemployment. Not to say I’m freeloading by any means, I’m still highly productive but not meeting the exemplary bar set for me while doing the job of 2 people.

Just had a “tech screen” with a startup where the interviewer was rude and condescending. Kept berating me when I made a minor mistake and talked over me when I’d try to explain my thought process.

Note to interviewers, do better. It’s a candidate’s market and you’ll have a hard time attracting talent with a toxic culture.
