Current federal clerk, hoping to go to big law when my term is up. During law school I only worked in the public sector, so I am less familiar with how big firms work & looking for some advice. Hi All - Does anyone in NYC have a recommendation for laser hair removal? Specifically, I’m looking at it for my chin, as I have PCOS with hair growth appearing to get worse after I hit 31. There’s an overwhelming amount of spots who offer laser hair removal services so I’d appreciate any recommendations or information. Thanks!

I work at a new, small firm. We get 10 days of PTO. For family/medical leave, we get 20 days paid and then 20 days unpaid. But policy says we have to take our PTO concurrently with paid family/medical leave. That’s weird, right? It’s like you end up losing paid leave days. It makes sense to do it concurrently with unpaid leave but not paid leave, right?

Just starting up a Airbnb Property Management business. I am located in New Jersey, wondering if corporate leasing townhomes , lofts, and or condos, (if accepted) would be well profitable in the water front area near the Hudson between New York and New Jersey. (Hoboken, edgewater, weehawken, etc)

Startup idea I'd like some opinions on: a website that provides users with startup ideas. Our competitive advantage will be our people - plan on poaching entrepreneurs with only the most successful track records to be analysts, including Elon Musk, Travis Kalanick, Kenneth Lay, and Elizabeth Holmes. Will save on hosting costs by using Geocities.

Thoughts on viability?

Hey everyone, a friend of mine and I are looking to start a company, we’re both sick of the corporate world right now and working 80+ hours per week for someone else.
I’m a 2nd year analyst in Tech M&A Investment Banking and she’s a 2nd year associate consultant in Tech Private Equity.
We have some ideas but aren’t technical so we’re looking for a potential technical co-founder to join up with and either create an idea and build something together or join up on existing idea in process!

I have an idea for a Docusign integration for realtors.
I’d charge a small subscription fee to existing Docusign customers for a plugin tool to make certain tasks easier.
I created a Docusign developer account and the ‘advocate’ from Docusign has been reaching out for a meeting to discuss my idea. I’m concerned Docusign would just take my simple idea and use their resources to build the same tool, and render my work product useless.
Any ideas/advice? Is this paranoid or reasonable concern?

What has been the hardest part about starting a business? Marketing or tech setup? Or both?

I recently left public accounting to join a start up. I don’t have too many connections in this world yet, does anyone have recommendations for either articles, books or other sources of information I could use to get an understanding of the startup world and how I can make the right career choices moving forward. - *I’m on the product manager side*

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone used bubble or outsourced to get their SaaS built for them? I’m non-technical and have an idea I want to at least get an MVP up and running for but trying to figure out the most efficient and cost effective way without bringing on a technical cofounder

Considering an exit to a startup that just completed a solid series B. They’re willing to provide competitive comp package and surprised how large the base is for a startup. Has me concerned about being on the high end and being the first person that comes to mind when it’s time to pinch a few pennies or clean up the books ahead of future rounds/IPO. Valid concern or am I overthinking it?

Turnover is high, but maybe normal for startup. Company began in Brazil, was moved to CA, and now moving/moved to East Coast. Thinking all that moving contributed to some of prob. Now with everything consolidated, hoping that will improve.

Hello everyone! Hope you all are well. I recently got selected for a team that is mentoring me to develop financial choices without disturbing my profession leveraging current trends. Interviewed with hiring manager at startup. Then HR says they decided not to hire for the role (made it seem like they are going to hire for another role instead) but will keep me in mind for the future.

Is this legit? Feels like a fit issue or they didn't get enough candidates
