Hi folks,

I am confused of the basic pay in salary structure. My current CTC is 4.5LPA and my basic pay is 16,590. I have an offer from TCS and they are offering 8.5LPA, in the offer letter the basic pay is mentioned as 15,000. Why is it lower than my current one. Should I ask HR regarding this or will it be same for everyone who is around the same salary? I am not sure about it. Could anyone please clarify me on this.

Do you typically share your salary or salary expectations with recruiters on the first interview? I’ve had instances where the interviewer flat out tell me the range of salary band via email even prior to initial interview. I think this is a great way to set expectations from the get go and will save both parties time - but some companies like to play the “game” and get you to share numbers first, which I find very annoying. Me: 2 yoe as an official marketing PM in tech (5+ overall PM). I get to the 2nd stage of interview then get rejected. Reason: mving fwd w/ candidates w/ stronger experience. I’m feeling defeated. Having offer from Accenture: 12 f+2.5 v
One small scale.. 15 f, wipro : 13 f +1.5 v
And bitwise and virtusa are in pipeline, will get offer may be more or nearly same.
