Interviewed for a firm that seems great and pays better than my current job, but one issue... they don’t offer 401k matching (my current firm does). All other benefits are the same though. I’m seriously considering leaving my current job for this new opportunity since it sounds like a great fit for me, I just don’t know how to handle the lack of 401k matching. I just qualified for my 401k at my current place but haven’t contributed yet and I need to get my savings in order. Advice?

Hey, Is there a Hiring Freeze in Amazon.
I recently cleared all the interview rounds at Amazon but I haven't received the offer letter. The recruiter says they have slowed the hiring process.

Ugh, I am four business days past my loop interview and tomorrow is five, which is their maximum number of days they said they would take to make a decision. I’m trying to be optimistic, like, if they unanimously didn’t want me they probably would have told me sooner. But who knows?! The waiting is the worst part, knowing if the time investment into interview prep was actually worth it.

Anyone whose role is a Contract Analyst, how would you describe your experience learning the ins and outs of contract work? I come a litigation background and have an interview for a Contracts Analyst position that I’m interested in, but unsure of what to really expect from the role…I draft boilerplate pleadings regularly so I assume it’s similar? Any insight would be helpful! TIA!

Made it all the way to final interview rounds, got really amazing feedback the entire time… then last night I get an impersonal email from HR saying they made an offer to another candidate. I’m so shocked and devastated. I really thought I had it, and it was all based on how complimentary they were the entire time. Part of me wants to reach out to some of the folks I interviewed with to thank them again and ask for feedback and part of me wants to go to bed. Should I reach out…?

Had a recruiter from a popular unicorn company reach back out after I interviewed with them earlier this year for a different team. The new team seems to like me and I’m being fast tracked through the process (only 2 interviews instead of 3 and all within a week). The only problem is that if I get an offer, the start date will likely be 11/15. I already have a 2 week vacation planned and I’d be screwing myself out of EOY bonus if I start 12/01. Role is MM, am I too junior to ask for a Jan start?

I'm currently working as an electrical designer in the MEP industry. I really don't like it and I'm working towards a career change which I'm actively applying for and getting certified etc. However, it's been a slow process and I'm currently underpaid where I am so would it be wise to make a lateral move to another MEP firm simply because they offer me more money while I still look for a different job separate from this field? Or just tough it out?

I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.
