Deutsche Bank offers you a job, EY offers you a career

Ey, as being consulting role one gets a chance of client interaction. In deutsche, it would be taking care of their own business.

Hours are long. Be prepared to slog if you want to get into consulting.

Well I am bit skeptic of Deutsche Bank as it fired almost 18k people globally a couple years back. So job security becomes a risk there. Ey hasn't had such an experience as far as I know.

EY being individual member firms also wouldn't trigger press attention by making cuts in individual countries so it's hard to tell how many EY lays off in any given year. But most companies will trim about 5% of their workforce, which, EY having about 320k employees worldwide is 15k.

EY - consulting salary progression much better than industry

WLB is good in Deutsche bank . in EY you need to work extra hours and weekend also

Idk what to do with my career. I feel very lost. I have been sitting on the bench a lot. I have tried networking but no projects come up. Not that I’m complaining about having no work, but I just feel like I’m missing out on the experiences and personal growth / development. As someone early on their career, I would like to learn as much as possible. Should I apply for other jobs?

Good morning. I am currently a senior associate in BugLaw, and I have applied to several trial attorney jobs in Chicago offices of federal agencies since the start of the pandemic. According to usajobs.gov, my applications to the DOJ and CFTC were “referred,” and my application to the SEC was received and my GS scale verified. But I haven’t received any updates on these applications in over a month. Does anyone here have any insights on these or on federal hiring generally? Thanks!
