EY (specifically the New York FDD data analytics team) is actively hiring seniors and managers. Please feel free to reply to this post or send me a private message if interested. Thank you.
Best company/role/function if I only want to work 20-25 hours a week? Life should be lived and I work too much. Want to cut back and reorder my priorities.
Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?
Hello All. I have been in Support for 15 years and I would love to advance into a technical leadership role. I'm pretty open to any possibilities: Customer Success, PM, QA, etc The question is how? I have a mentor at my workplace who works in my "dream" department, I have reached out to hiring managers for various positions but am always told "you aren't a good fit." And the odds seem stacked against me. Any feedback on what else I can be done as I truly want more responsibility and advancement.
Anybody pick up an online adjunct teaching position on the side? I’m thinking about it but wanted to see if anybody had any experience with it. Thanks
Interviewing for a role at BP, what are they like as a firm to work at? It’d be the commercial/strategy side of the business rather than production. I understand they went thru a major re-org to be relevant for the future energy industry. How’s that going?
Can anyone please weigh in on base salary and bonus structure for Strategy& director level role? Also is the path to partnership similar across S& and PwC? TIA!
How much is an MBA valued for a consulting exit? Example: Two consultants, A and B who went into the same firm right after college. A spent 2 years as an AC, 1 year as an SAC, 2 years as a C. B spent 2 years as an AC, 2 years MBA, 2 years as a C. Will a PE firm value B over A?
Got a call from a Salesforce recruiter for the San Francisco office. I am a manager, and this would be a director role. Any thoughts on the company?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
As the most junior person on-site, is it a mistake to always offer to pick up lunch for the team? Want to be a team player but not minimize my role! Thoughts?
Hi folks! I am new to interviewing. Any tips on how to prepare for an initial phone interview with a recruiter for a position I applied for? What kind of questions should I be expecting? Thanks !
Deloitte has a number of roles for Advisory Manager Financial services Risk management, one of which I've applied to. It has been 3 weeks and haven’t heard anything, is this normal or have they passed on my application? I believe I've met all their requirements in a candidate for the role.
Have an interview for Google Technical Account Manager. Anyone interviewed for this role? What’s it like?
Hey fishies, anyone interested in a senior product manager role? Growth stage startup in the content creator space, great culture, remote, located in DC. My manager is the hiring manager so I can plug you in! Reach out
It’s been a week since a second round interview for a local government position. They said they would be in touch “soon”. Is a week too soon for me to send a follow up email? I just don’t want them to think I’m not interested or forget about me..
What jobs are there that: 1. Pay $500k+ USD 2. Have a 9-5 schedule or less than 40 hours a week of work
Not sure how much longer I can stay cooped up in my house. Been one of the people abiding by social distancing / quarantine, and with the spike (due to more testing, people not social distancing, whatever) its scary to think that we could still be doing this next year. Anybody else in the same boat? How are you dealing with the repetitiveness of WFH?
What does a principal do all day? My principal seems to sit in her office a lot and looks busy, but I'm really not sure with what and I wish she would come into my classroom.
Do any 🐠 have tips on how best to maintain motivation for job hunting long term? Been actively applying for months now; despite having had a few interviews I still feel lesser than due to the slog the search has been and the number of apps I've sent out. (Also I just ate shit on the Bain aptitude screening test so the recency on that is probably also a factor 😅)
What job opportunities exist outside of agency world for account people? I feel like all client jobs require an MBA or 5+ years of experience. I can’t see myself in agency world past 2 years from now
Has anyone worked for a company that produces/researches CBD for medical use? And...would you say it’s Pharma?
Hello, Is anybody aware of job openings in Accenture for folks with experience in telecom oss/bss and network assurance tools especially with performance management and fault management. Experience in open source monitoring tools as well as third party tools like infovista and netcool. Thanks
Would you rather work for an incompetent manager/partner or work with an incompetent client?
Hi Ladies, I was impacted by the COVID-19 layoffs a few weeks ago and let go from my job at Deloitte. I have 2 years experience as an IT Auditor with the big 4 and I am in search of a new job. I’m currently residing in Atlanta Any recommendations on where to apply would be greatly appreciated.

To the folks who pivoted from tech consulting pre-MBA to IB/PE post- graduation, how has your experience been? What would have been helpful for you to have known prior to making the switch?
I typically despise all the "how many points" posts.... but alas here I am. WiFi didn't work on my flight. Anyone complained for this and how many points did you get??
Should I get tested? Friends wife got covid from partying with friends. I had lunch with friend [husband] the next day. Then he tested positive. It’s been 2 days. I’m vaccinated. Scared shitless right now.
Anyone know the Deloitte Hilton code?
I had almost ten people die in my friend group in the second half of 2020 and I got very depressed and started performing poorly at work. I didn’t tell my higher ups until it became an issue. I thought I could get through it and plus I figured they wouldn’t care.. It was decided that I get put on a PIP. Lesson learned to communicate.. 🙁 Anyone have tips for getting back on the right track
Got offered a consulting job with CFGI for a manager position (12% raise). I don’t like Audit anymore and it just makes me unhappy. It impacts my health a lot. Had to work till 4-5 am during busy time and some very busy days during this summer. Partners tried to help me move to Deals since beginning of the year but it won’t happen right away. They will ask me to do the audit for another year. My guts told me to move to CFGI but I’m nervous. Should I move now in Sept or wait for PwC uncertainly?
