Hi folks! I’m in the early stages (discovery + research) of a B2C oncology focused health tech startup. I’m passionate about this space as this has hit home, and I’ve encountered the glaring pain points cancer patients and caregivers endure. I come from a product background, and hope my skillset can translate well into building something real, based off real user needs. Are there any founders, or folks who have worked in startups in this thread, that could share any words of advice?

What’s the opinion about teaching at community college or as adjunct professor? I have my CPA license, but not masters. I’ve contemplated going back for a masters to be able to teach at the university level, but it seems like it doesn’t pay well these days. Part of my contemplation is I always wanted to be a teacher, but I opted against it because the politics involved. Does anyone have opinions, suggestions?

Any insights on how to dive in into Tech Recruiting? I am trying to apply for that line of business but all the postings Ive seen so far requires minimum 2 years of experience. I have received two offers for Summer Internships. West Monroe Partners Software Engineer and Deloitte Software Engineer. I'm not sure which one will be better for my career. Will Deloitte allow better future opportunities because of its brand name? Or, will the fact that WMP is a technology-focused consulting firm look better for getting future SWE jobs?

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Thirdly, I left my previous job on 02 March, 2021, so I received the Feb 21 & March 21 on April 2021. So does it come under FY 2020-21? OrFY 2021-22?

Once you have been working professionally for a few years, is gpa ever really brought up in interviews or the interview process?
