Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?

I think Facebook. Both are great roles but Facebook’s business is Products and Tech. JPMorgan at its core is an Investment Bank. And you want to be where the core business of the firm is.
Got it - I might be wrong then about the JPM job. My basic principle is that as long as it’s core to business, it’s good.
I exited from Mgr at D to PM at FB last year. I can't comment on JPM or which city to pick, but am really loving the company (it's very different from the external perception) and it's such a positively different experience. I'd also echo the remarks above that you can use this as your way into tech, depending on what your long-term goals are.
They contacted me, the interview process was pretty grueling but I prevailed. 6 yoe in consulting
Go to FB. Apply for remote work Dec 2021
FB any day. Have that in your resume, you can always move on if you get tired of it
OP which one did you pick? What was your final TC?

Facebook no question. Gets your foot into the door of Tech, which has way more upside as an industry. 10 years ago different story. JP Morgan payments can be “digital”, but the firm will never read as a tech company.
I don’t think you turn down Facebook
Nice! Are you an undergrad SC at D?

As someone who was between Microsoft and FS product role, I’m leaning towards JPM tbh. But can’t go wrong! Do what’s more interesting to you
FB Austin - no doubt about it. Also, do you mind if I ask your consulting background?
VP in financial institutions is not what VP means anywhere else just FYI
In strat roles it's equivalent to an M or experienced M in consulting. ED would be like a Sr Manager, obviously MD is PPMD.
Where did you apply for these positions?
Make M at D then exit
Are there any RSU involved in either offer?
At JP you don't usually get RSUs unless your incentive comp is at least 50K. So this year I got 10% of my incentive comp as RSUs that vest over 3 years. It's on a grid so when you hit 100K incentive comp it's 20% in RSUs and on and on. Was told the grid goes up to 10 million.
I may have a limited perspective but VP at JPM just sounds like money in the bank 👀
Coach
To be fair even IB VP sucks as you’re stuck with high pay and the golden handcuffs
Could you please share details on your background and how you navigated the application and interview process for the role at FB?
Are you ok with Facebook’s actions in the recent election? Or generally how their business decisions are affecting society? That would be my #1 consideration above all else.
Ya I don’t care at all.
Is there any linux opening, please let me know.
I have 11 years experience
Isn’t TC 160k low for FB?
Austin salaries are lower. L4 should be around 190k TC
