Huron KPMG How would you guys compare between these two positions: digital consultant at Huron Consulting Group(boutique firm, specializing in healthcare & higher Edu) vs KPMG's contract compliance advisory associate? I feel like the Huron's position is more interesting while KPMG has a higher brand recognition

Can anyone offer insight into a meta exploratory call? I had a meta referral, but was not moved forward with any of the 3 roles I was referred to . I got an email telling me that I was not going to be interviewed and the offer for an exploratory call from an advisor (not recruiter) on the referral team. Is this just part of their process when you are referred and no interviews for any role? I'm doing the call but does it ever lead into anything or just a "nice" thing they do? Facebook (Meta)
I know it wasn’t on your list, but I work at Salesforce and the majority of our workforce is remote and the work life balance is awesome. I’ve been here 9 months and only had three weeks that I worked more than 45 hours.
Thank you! I’m applying to Salesforce, but have a (distant) contact there, which is why I didn’t include it. But if they fall through I’ll definitely reach out!
I recommend checking out Indeed as well. We kind of fly under the radar because our stock is traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, but Indeed is an awesome place to work.
Gotcha. I’ll def consider indeed for my next job! I want to move from enterprise to consumer tech, but want to avoid facebook/YT/tik toks so indeed is a great fit in that sense.
DM for Dropbox referral if you see any interesting roles OP. All jobs are remote.
Many thanks D1. I got a bit overwhelmed with prep so I’m gonna hold off on applying there for a bit but once I am ready I’ll take a look and DM you
DM me for VMware
I actually have a close friend who works on Tanzu stuff (came over from pivotal) so thankfully I am covered there. But thank you V1! I really appreciate it
If you are interested in MongoDB, let me know.
I work at a startup in Boston, if you have interest in working here, let me know
U1: TLDR: I joined a very small startup and it shut down and we all got fired. Not a fun time, and possibly why this week has been tougher on me than some colleagues of mine.
P1: you’re right, peloton has kind of a startup culture, but it’s gone public. I’m not opposed to start ups ( some of the companies in my list are start ups) but I am looking for mid/ later stage start ups if possible (due to compensation, stability, WLB, etc.)
Have you looked at Microsoft? I can refer you
I’ve mostly been looking at subsidiaries (eg LinkedIn and Github) b/c I’ve heard good things about them.
I wasn’t sure if MSFT allowed full remote/ I had heard pay isn’t as good in MSFT proper. But maybe I should take a closer look and get back to you
Checkout Ridgeline. It's a Dave Duffield startup (of workday/peoplesoft successes), and is early and as stable a startup as you will find.

Feel free to DM me
R1: thanks! Looks like they’re not hiring remote at this time based on the job search
T1: forgot to answer your question. I’m doing backend stuff for a growth team. It’s fine, but not very stimulating. Looking for something a bit closer to infrastructure without being a cloud engineer, if that makes sense.
Sorry to hear about the challenges at Pelloton. Its good that you have started to create a target list of companies. I'd suggest building it out to 40 deep. If you need help how to get to those 40, feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn. https://www.linkedin.com/in/alanjstein/
Hey! If you're still looking, we have plenty of open roles. Lmk!
Can refer you for MongoDB. Also have a friend in Datadog that would be happy to refer you.
About me/stuff I’m interested in for context:
* 5 YOE
* looking for backend roles (mostly API/Infra experience)
* looking for a remote role due to family health issues
If folks know of any good teams or bad teams, or want to push back on a company on my list, that’d also be appreciated
We're looking for a backend SWE. Series B but very well funded, all remote, and amazing growth. Let me know if you're interested.
Cameo has SWE roles open https://careers.cameo.com
I shall take a look at them, thank you!
We’re hiring for a few Senior roles across our teams at Properly, one of them being data and infrastructure. Please feel free to DM if you’re interested or curious to learn more. https://www.properly.ca/careers/5320183002/
For anyone wondering, I was not laid off today (though many colleagues were.) rough day.
I was hoping to take my job search kind of slowly, but idk if that’s feasible now. Once things have calmed down a bit I’ll reach out to folks.
Thanks again y’all, I really appreciate it.
Hello - we have multiple backend roles at Elastic. Feel free to connect with me directly on LinkedIn and let's see what we can match you with! https://www.linkedin.com/in/sonya-mead-tx/
