I got an offer from Pwc. Sdc Bangalore. While negotiation the HR asked me about the highest offer I’m holding and then he added some more amount to that and told that’s the max he can offer. but now I wonder, he never asked me for my counter offer… thinking if I left money on the table ?

3 types of people join Big4
i) To get the brand name on CV here and get good joining offers to match yoe. Here people tend to leave after 1 to 4 years.
ii) To get the brand name and after a couple of years this becomes new normal for them and end up staying for 5- 10 years
iii) For money and brand name as they tend to switch between big 4

I can say few things about EY GDS.
1. When you join in Consulting Service Line, you will assigned to competency and Region(like APAC, EMEIA etc), so you will get project only with in that region. Problem with this is, most of the time there is only one project in your tech stack,so you have to be in bench for long time for nearly 3 to 4 months. So except Azure Data Engineering, if you work on any other tech stack then you will face this situation.
2. Another thing I faced is most of the time you won't have work in project, but they continue to onboard new resource into project and everyone will be idle. This obviously affects your rating
3. Usually Indian big 4's do staffing for other companies, but EY GDS also does that. When you get into project like this, EY doesn't have any control over the team. You will be treated worse.
EY or any big 4 working way is different than other service based companies. They won't work with clients directly. EY GDS interact with member firms around the world for project. So Onsite is rare. But you will get Onshore in GDS
People will name where they work.
There's where im asking why as well
Because for most people, reason for hating their company is their team/manager, and it doesn't always truly portray the correct big picture.
I'd still give more weightage to role though

I was a campus hire and stayed 5+ years, so maybe I know the inner workings of how Kolkata office functions w.r.t manager to partner!

I'm sure we can see all big 4 names here😂 if you want the brand name go for big 4 other than that nothing is there definitely pay will be good in Deloitte but you will have to sacrifice everything just for money.
Bro Deloitte is not paying according to market standards. They couldn't even offer 90%hike and my cctc is way low.
