Hi friends, for those with unlimited PTO, what level are you and how much time do you take off on average?

Need advice on how to cope with a first mistake at work. I was recently diagnosed with a gut disease and spent Monday night throwing up, but I do not get PTO at all at my job (contract employee). So I went to work tired, did a once over of a report I submit weekly, reviewed it w/ peers, before moving on. Today I log on to my manager messaging me it made them look bad in a meeting as it was not “done” & I was taken off that project. I took total ownership for my mistake and apologized. Thoughts?

I’m planning a destination wedding in Europe, and I’m assuming the guests who join us will likely stay for a week + and make a vacation out of it. With that in mind, is the week of Memorial Day a great choice since people will have the additional day off, or rude since people might have other plans? Went client side. Our vendors and agency are unorganized and sooo slow 😴

Organization is critical for classroom management. Try assembling units into Google Slides with links to ppts, activities, etc. Color code them according to the rainbow: Unit 1 red, Unit 2 orange etc. It takes a minute at first but the payoff is a one click upload for next year! PS I use the same color code system with felt tip pens to grade my classes: 1st hr red, 2nd hr orange etc.

Anyone else feel completely drained and exhausted? Physically and mentally...

So I keep applying for leadership roles (supervisor and manager level). Keep making it to final interviews and I am not chosen. The feedback I get is they were very impressed with my interviews and they forward my resume to there colleagues for another leadership opportunity and I end up with the same results. They do include that they went with someone that had mgmt experience. The emails aren’t generic I may add. However I am not sure what else I can do to land a spot? Thoughts please!
