Hi fishes! I need some quick advice here. I started a new role month ago but received an interview request for a role that I applied for a while back. I prefer this new role over my current role. Should I go ahead and interview for this new role? Would it be okay to tell the recruiter that I just started a new job but prefer this position better?

Moms, just want to say you’re amazing and doing a great job. I recently had a baby and wow parenting is insane. Once I became an adult, my mom became my role model but I remember despising her as a teenager. It hurts me to the core that I put her through this now that I’m also a mother. What type of questions can be expected in a managerial round for a data scientist role.

Interviewed with HR and then the hiring manager almost four weeks ago but then found a gig at a different branch of the company (same title and duties) that I LOVE. I emailed the HR rep to check in and got no response and can see via LinkedIn that he’s left the company. Do I reach out to the hiring manager or just wait and see, focusing on the second position I’d prefer?

Question- What does it generally mean when a recruiter or hiring manger refuses to give feedback after a rejection, even after originally being told you were a good candidate?

Was interviewing w/ a company since Jan. Their internal politics led to me getting and signing the written offer today...at 21 wks pregnant. When I started the process, I didn't even know I was pregnant. By the time background checks complete, my start date will be around 24-25 wks.

Gotta reveal the news to the hiring manager - while I don't have anything to feel bad about, I still do?!? Do I wait for the background check to clear or do I tell him now? Dreading this conversation😫

Mega fund work is more interesting and clear path to D/MD hence comp growth, which I don’t really see at the tech firm. Any thoughts ? I gravitate towards the fund

I recently was offered a Recruiting position at Deloitte - I’m super excited about it and they offered me in the mid 80k range which is significantly more than what I’m making now- does that sound like a fair salary? For reference I’m in the Texas area and my current role is with another Big 4 making roughly 30k less so it’s a big jump and seems like the right direction with lots of positivity.

Back in the day, we didn’t have internet dating. Many of us met our spouses at work. A nice way to get to know someone slowly. Now it seems expressing any attraction to another person in the workplace is completely out of line and grounds for firings and lawsuits.
