Hi 🐟, I will be going on Mat Leave soon (company gives me 16 weeks). I was informed by HR that as a NY employee, I am eligible to 2 additional weeks of leave at a prorated salary. HR wasn't sure if being on H1B visa and taking the 2 additional weeks is okay.
I wanted to check if anyone has done this and if it will cause any issue on visa or GC front given that visa is tied to the salary and I wouldn't get paid my full salary for the 2 weeks. TIA!

I have joined KPMG in June 2021 & it's been more than a year. The performance cycle here is Oct-Sept. I haven't spoken to my manager regarding hike during performance review assuming it will be given automatically post one year completion. Now I feel I should've discussed this before. I recently attended an interview with KPMG and cleared the technical rounds. I was promised 11.5 lpa fixed and now after clearing technical rounds they say 11 lpa fixed. The HR was also not ready to negotiate. During the technical rounds, the interviewer was straight forward and said there will be lot of work pressure and appraisal will be once in an year. My YoE is 2.9 years. Is it really worth taking such an offer ? Any suggestions are appreciated
