Have any of your agencies taken steps towards acknowledging and addressing mental health issues in your office? Care to share, good or bad? Hoping to get ideas to take back to our leadership. Thanks!!
Since partners no longer get subsidized health care coverage from their firms, do any partners purchase health care through the aca marketplace exchange? Even without a premium tax credit from the exchange, it would have to be cheaper than paying full price via the firm’s plan unsubsidized. I heard that some get coverage thru a spouse’s plan, but what if the spouse’s family plan from their employer is really bad? Curious to hear about options out there. How do I get in the pharmaceutical industry? I have 3YOE in a healthcare consulting firm and MHA. Have experience with mostly federal gov. Work in a small healthcare consulting firm in dc.
22, healthy, single, M. Should I really max my HSA? I completely understand the triple tax savings but my thought process is I don’t think I’ll have a large med expense for a while. I know, I know, I know anything could happen but the likelihood is pretty low rn and I don’t want to lock this money up for solely health costs when I rather be saving for a house down payment or continued education. I still plan to contribute to it, but should I really max it out at my age??
Does anyone know what health benefits (gym membership, reimbursements, etc) does PwC in Atlanta offer?
Joining KPMG as an intern in healthcare advisory practice. Considering that I am in a MHA program (healthcare administration) any way to leverage to receive an offer as a senior associate?
Posted yesterday about getting into a wreck. My insurance has determined that I was not at fault. So the other insurance will likely pay. Do I ask them to reimburse me for the cars diminished value ??
Other consultants in the healthcare vertical? What are your thoughts on Obamacare aka Affordable Care Act?
Building off a thread from a few days ago on how long you waited to consultant an RE. If I am under 35 and have not been trying for 12 months, do I need to spin it to my doctor like I have? It seems bad to not give my doc the real info but I also don’t want to be turned away and I think I’ve heard you have to tell them it’s been 12 mo to get insurance to cover it. Any insight?

Anyone see a registered dietician without having a very pressing health issue (as in, stomach issues or obese)? I just lack the willpower and focus to really effectively control my eating, I’d love to have someone to hold me accountable and help identify specific triggers I have personally to lose like 15-20 pounds. How did you go about finding one?

If I eat a pint of Ben and Jerry's Milk and Cookies ice cream every night but eat 100% healthily otherwise and exercise moderately, is that ok for my health? My life is in your hands.
I feel like Work Well Be Well is a complete joke. How on earth can any firm talk about mental or physical health when we are working 15 hours a day for weeks on end?

What do you think will be the impact of this rapid hiring for MBB? MBB is hiring so rapidly. When it cools down, do you think MBB will realize they over hired? Will it become harder for associates (post MBA) to get promoted? Will it become more competitive for Associates to get staffed on projects they want to be on? Will there just be too many consultants at the Firm and a mass layoff? McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
What is it like being a partner ? What kind of life do you guys have ? Skill sets that can bring you to the top and things which can break your career ? I am currently a senior and wonder is it worth the grind ? At BIG 3 people become partners in like 10 years or so but big 4 it’s more like 15-17. Would it be worth hustling for it grinding 13 hours days consistently for years to become a partner at like 40-42? PwC Deloitte EY Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company
I wanted to post this for those who see and those who need to see: I, along with you, feel dejected by my current position. But I went to an absolutely no name school and could not find a job out of college for 5-6 months. Randomly got an interview request from PwC for a position I never applied for through LinkedIn. All this to say, everyones path is different and yours will work out how it should. Everything happens for a reason, assuming you always put your best foot forward. May we succeed.

Seeking advice on how to choose between a mid tier technical accounting advisory offer and Big 4 audit. Worked in audit at a local firm and wanted a bigger platform. Would love to switch to advisory to be more well rounded. Mid tier advisory offers higher salary but also thinking big 4 has a better platform and maybe better exit opportunities in the long run? Insights please.
Conference call bingo - my board is almost full and it’s only day one wfh and the work day is still young 😅
Which job would you take? 200k TC with 40 hours a week VS. 240k TC with 60 hours a week (FAANG-Amazon)?
My PwC team is hiring experienced and senior associates with ANY technical experience. Bonus if your certifications and skill sets relate to “Emerging Technologies” (any coding, cloud, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.). Send a DM if you’re interested!
Congrats to all the folks that got promoted at PwC! And thank you fishbowl - I wouldn’t have known about PwC promotion time without you.
Do you usually lie about your current salary when negotiating with a new employer? And by how much, 10% 20%? I resent the fact that I am even being asked. What I currently make is irrelevant.
Anyone sign a prenup? Pros vs Cons experienced and was it worth it. Wife to be makes 1/2 salary as me but is 3 years younger and a hard worker.

Hi 🐠🐠. I’d like to hear about your success stories applying to tech company jobs only through their career websites. I’m feeling discouraged as I have not had much luck without referrals. How hard is it to get tour resume noticed in a sea of applicants? Do you have to apply super early? Is there a formula to success? Thanks!!
Can’t decide between Cornell’s Metro vs. Americas EMBA program. They both seem to be great and offer an Cornell MBA upon graduation. Americas costs about 155k while the Metro NY costs 205k. Both programs are 60 credits in different formats. I can’t seem to understand the difference in price. I like the Americas program because of its flexibility (can attend from selected cities across the US so I would not be stuck in NY). I like the Metro NY for the in-person classroom environment.
So I've seen a number of articles floating around recently saying all Americans (not just the priority groups) could get the covid-19 vaccines by April. Thoughts on whether that is actually highly likely? I initially thought end of 2021 was more likely, but perhaps I should be more optimistic?
Professional looking and warm jacket for men that goes well with dress shirt? I walk about 15 minutes to the client site and the weather in Chicago is unpredictable at all.
Starting 2019 in a new job outside of consulting! Good luck to everyone starting in a field/role and to the 🐠 searching for a new opportunity!
I'll be joining the consulting world very soon and am thinking about getting a new personal credit card. My meal expenses are per diem so I'm thinking about the AmEx Gold card as it has 4x points on dining. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on personal cards for consultants and how to go about my corporate card as well! TIA
