Just got an offer for an extra 50% of my salary. I currently make somewhere in the 80s. Currently up for promotion right now at my current firm. Should I jump? The offer is for my same level.

Before releasing the offer, asked Capgemini HR about joining bonus as I agreed to join the date she asked. She said that can looked later by the account once I join.. Will I be given joining bonus later or that need to be finalized nw and get it included in the offer letter?

Is it crazy to switch a job while undergoing IVF?

I applied for a L7 Principal Eng. mgr role and provided $350k-$450k TC range. Was offered the L6 Sr. Engagement Mgr role $29k K TC.
- Base $190k, $90k Y1, $68k Y2, 80 RSU
RSU valued at $222k based on $2.5k (30day avg + 15% YOY growth) - actual value $2.1k today.

Any advice on negotiation? Interviewer says max $200k Base/$300k TC Atlanta area. Is $225k base/$350k TC feasible?

Any tips for developing a thicker skin at work? I have a really difficult time not taking it personally when those above me have a snippy, passive aggressive, taking stress out on their subordinates, or blunt communication style (especially over pings) - a lot of the time it doesn’t have to do with me (like they’re in a frustrated mood because of client delays) but it still really gets to me unless I know a concrete reason that doesn’t have to do with me that they’re acting that way

When watching the news about people getting hospitalized with COVID, I noticed that many of them were catching pneumonia while in the hospital, and subsequently getting intubated. I suspect that for a not-insignificant number of people who catch pneumonia while hospitalized with COVID, this infection puts them over the edge and causes them to have to get intubated. Once intubated, people who didn't have pneumonia prior to intubation are now much more likely to get it....
