I have an HR question about severance. If anyone works in HR, can they reach out to me? Need to ask some questions…I’m being told I only have a day to consider severance or staying at the company. They said they won’t send me the agreement of severance until I say I will accept the path of severance. If i do agree, I’m given 7 days to see the terms and conditions and speak to an attorney. It didn’t make sense. Why not just let me choose with proper information?? Is this normal practice?

I graduated in 2020 with a degree in Economics and I’ve been working as a data scientist for a hospital on strategic transformation projects (on top of covid-related work).

I hope to transition to life sciences consulting but I’m not really sure what’s required of me to break into these firms? I tried applying directly to IQVIA and ZS for both associate and AC positions but there’s no response. Should I do an MBA? or an MPH?

My husband has been unemployed since last year. He has a part time gig holding him over until he finds something better, but he is struggling. Overall he has 10 YOE in hospitality (server, bartender, events, and restaurant manager) and 2 YOE in sales.
