Hello fishes! Any ideas of work culture in advisory as part of MC- financial management team in KPMG global services. Thanks.
Any thoughts on the international tax / transfer pricing department at Amazon? Culture, type of work, wlb, etc?
When you have a manager so bad, you and everyone under them quit, and HR questions the team about “leadership culture”, but they still get promoted to SM -_-
How is wells fargo culture?
If you smashed your keurig and melted your Dixie chicks CDs you don’t get to gripe about cancel culture
Anyone in account management in Amazon AWS? How is the culture, wlb, how is that org structured? Considering an offer, any insight appreciated 🙏🏻
So much anxiety about going full-time with Deloitte soon. I am interning with Deloitte now and I still have so much anxiety. Like I’m not doing enough even though I’m also doing school full-time. I keep reading awful things about how the culture is cutthroat and to “suck up” to managers but I’m not even sure how to do that? I’m just stressed I’m not doing enough. I just want to be able to succeed but I’m also so stressed with school and work. Is it really that hard to succeed here? Help please!!
Anyone inside David & Goliath willing to shed some light on leadership style and culture there?
Guys, having 5 years of experience and I have 2 offers from Wipro and infosys . I have heard that Infosys is better than wipro in terms of work life balance and work culture. I wants to join Infosys but the thing is wipro is paying more than Infosys. Please help me to decide. I am confused 🤔
Has anyone worked in multiple firms and can summarize the general differences among them? Culture, communication, etc.
What’s the main reason for the different targets for US/UK/EU offices of the same big law law firm? Pure culture differences or actually much busier on the American side of the Atlantic?
What are some ways that your firm encourage networking between different groups, practice lines, etc? Just looking for inspiration from other firms. My firm wants to finally work on culture
My best friend is an immigrant. She has lived in the USA for ten years now and has a great career. However she says america is very lonely. Her fellow immigrant friends from different countries also say this. She says culture here is friendly but distant and ppl are too wrapped up in their home life and less so in their social life. She misses daily socializing that was a norm in her home country. I’ve lived here all my life so can’t judge but curious as to whether other immigrants here agree
Has anyone made the switch from McKinsey to Bain? I'm considering it for personal reasons and would love to know if the culture difference is as pronounced as people say it is?
PwC - How is RA in General as compared to Consulting ? How is it different from Consulting culture wise?
Does anyone have insights on Strategy& cloud strategy and data analytics division? Any info on culture, work life and growth opportunities will be much appreciated!
Can anyone tell me about what’s it like working at Weber Shandwick? I don’t know much about the agency or their culture. Thanks!
Is it just me, or is the big 4 sales culture low energy? I get the RFP process is painful, having done it in other industries myself, but the way I've seen most people sell in these firms seems mediocre for the amount of support that gets thrown at these opportunities. Maybe it's the ex-finance consultant in me, but the approaches I've seen in my 5 year tenure so far have me thinking this isn't catering to my strengths and won't be the best move to stick it out to SM/PPMD.
How do I deal with a super intense senior associate that is making life difficult? This associate sees no difference between 11 AM and 11 PM, weekend or weekday. They will text me on my personal cell instead of emailing, insist on long zoom calls during which they insist on turning camera on, won’t review anything I send them unless it’s on a zoom call (yes, that is crazy and not the norm at my firm), and is not a good team player (something good? He did it! bad? You did it)! What do I do?
Any thoughts on Bartle Bogle Hegarty? How’s the culture, environment, work life balance?
What is the purpose of a flipped classroom? Some teachers are doing their lessons via video so the kids are prepped before class. Then, what do they do in class?
I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
With so many people reportedly leaving consulting, I’m wondering how common is it to leave for less TC? MBB comp $200k+ at 27. Do most people get increases above that or just go to jobs sitting at $150k but that “have better WLB”? *Not looking to include those that switch to industries with intentional disregard about comp (eg public sector, charity, teaching etc).
Today would have been my baby shower. I’m so sad we couldn’t spend this gorgeous day with family and friends but I’m so thankful they took time to call, text, FaceTime and send tons of gifts. ❤️
Has anyone work on Deloitte controllership? How is the worklife balance? What type of work do they do? What’s the salary for consultant level?
Recently got promoted to SM at one of the Big 3, how much raise should I expect taking a lateral position at a competitor?
Want to be consultant. Non trad IS Eng BS this year, Process improvement at FCA now, was exec in healthcare, national sales director for retail startup, and startup founder. 3.3 major, 2.9 overall.
Which is the industry with the best WLB ? I have worked in 2 and feel that insurance as a whole has a terrific WLB. Pharma seems to be pretty decent too. People who have been in industry or switched to industry after consulting, your thoughts?
I think my daughter has selective mutism. Any other parents here with a child with selective mutism have any recommendations on how I start this journey (books to read, tactical strategies, etc)
Absolutely hate consulting and been at it for 8 years. Decided to stay for various reasons - immigration, lack of good offers etc. But so glad that I didn’t take up any of those marginally better offers that were trying to shortchange me. Finally exiting to a opportunity that I always dreamt of. Takeaway: focus on what you really want and keep trying
Any Transfer Pricing or ITS attorneys here who successfully made the jump from big 4 to big law? Any advice?
Tired of traveling. Not sure if my background makes it easy to transition into a sr. leadership role in industry. Options?
