Received low offer from firm 1 but waiting for third round of interviews w/ firm 2 and (est.) higher offer. How do I negotiate with firm 1 to get offer up and extend deadline for acceptance?

I had a final interview yesterday and the recruiter sent a follow up the next day to have a final conversation with the hiring manager for 20-30min to clear up any questions from both sides that we might have. I don’t want to get my hopes up but does this sound like a job offer?

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Had a final round interview with a fintech team last week, 5 30-45 min interviews over the course of a few hours. Met with the majority of the team I’d be joining and the manager. I thought the vibes were great and on my end everything seemed to go awesome, mutual fit was there, got along with everyone great, my skills and experience align right with the role. I have used my connections to refer me into probably 10 big law firms and it’s not working. One most recently came back and said they aren’t interested bc I have no law firm experience. How am I supposed to get it though? I can’t go to lower ranked firms bc my clients are all “big.” … any suggestions appreciated!

A new team was created soon with all new joiners.

It turned out that, no one underatands or knows anything about the tech stack for which they were hired(god knows how they cleared interview)!! Now i'm the only one doing all teams work !!
