Long story short, asked for a pay increase of X figure base and was verbally told it was acceptable by three partners, including a managing partner, in a call and that they would handle the paperwork. The other two partners will soon be co-managing partners by next year. I noticed in our payroll system last week that my salary has been listed as X figure including super. Questioned this to managing partner via email and he confirmed we agreed to X figure base and that he would look into it.

offer letter that I signed 2 mo ago for my current role said I’d receive my signing bonus 30 days after starting. It’s been over 30 days. Reached out to the contract manager and she said it “slipped through the cracks” on behalf of finance dept. And that I’d get it not for this upcoming paycheck but the following (2.5 weeks from now). Has this happened to anyone? Should I just eat it and accept the fact that it “slipped through the cracks 🤪” or make noise? - first + only bipoc woman on the team

I have been working in AWS cloud domain more more than 5 years mostly into Devops and Infrastructure as a Code side and I have total 6+ years of Industry experience. Now I am expecting an offer and salary negotiation from one of the MNC in Germany as a aws cloud solution architect. Just want to what is the ideal salary for aws cloud sol. architect.

Before interviewing for an entry level role at a well known agency, the recruiter mentioned the salary in case it is a non-starter.

It’s 10% lower than current TC… is there usually wiggle room here?

Will I be beat out by others willing to take it?

Why TCS pays such a low fixed salary, they are offering even lesser as to what I have fixed salary with current employer

I live in studio city now, and feel like I’m so far from the action and it’s suburb-ish and a bit too hipster for me. I like shops, parks, restaurants, places I feel safe walking and I’d generally like somewhere with a handle on the homelessness. Any recommendations for me? I work in a office near Woodland Hills one day a week, but I love to spend time in Hermosa and down in Long Beach. Thanks!

Guesses as to what happens to remote hires when offices life comes back? Not talking the local WFH crowd, but full-time COVID hires that live elsewhere.

1) allowed to stay remote ad infinitum
2) option to relocate to the office, but not required
3) slowly phased out for local talent

Obviously if you have ladder-climbing ambitions you'll need to be in the office to play that game, but it gets more interesting for the work-to-live crowd.

Do any other POC women feel like they have to look like a solid 10 or just their absolute best to get any man to like them? I feel like I see average looking white women able to get average looking guys but I feel like I have to work so much harder to even get anyone look my way.
