I had technical interview for Cognizant which I cleared, they asked for documents for HR round which i submitted. But since then I haven't heard from there.
Does anyone knows how much time it takes for HR round to happen and is this normal in cognizant? Has anyone faced similar experience?

How do I address this situation?? I started a new job (industry) and the SM is not my boss but directly above me and assigns me work which is expected. My issue is that she doesn’t know how to communicate; I.e she calls Teams at random without ever checking if I’m available for a quick chat or call,
- Cuts me off when I’m talking (which is a huge pet peeve of mine) and then wonder why there are issues with our project which is what I can explain if only she let me talk. Continued…

Thinking about moving to a big city with the following preferences. I am thinking about Dallas, philly, or Chicago. What’s your experience living in those cities? Is there any other city I am missing?

2. Great food scene and things to do as a young professional
3. Relative LCOL can’t afford housing in NY, SoCal, etc.
4. Diversity of culture especially a bigger Chinese presence

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

Millenials we should be given our props. I truly believe we inspired the #1 interview question for companies customer support position. "Please share with us what diversity and inclusion mean to you and why they're important."

If I’m making 65K at an indie agency right now, what would be a reasonable percentage to ask for as a raise next year?

Looking at potentially accepting a Sr. Consultant role with EY. I live about 2 hours away from the nearest office and was told I wouldn't be expected to go to the office full-time, but wanted to ask any other EY folks if that would be the case.

I have a concern that I would accept the role, and after a few months, be required to either commute or relocate closer to the office. Bonus point: I don't own a car, and don't plan to get one.

December feels like a country song. Two dogs died on the 1st. A hard rain exposed latent roof damage and collapsed ceiling in two rooms.
