KPMG - what health plan would you choose if you had a baby due early next year?

Is it realistic in big law to take 20 days of mostly uninterrupted vacation time a year? My firm has unlimited and my group doesn’t take more than a couple days off a year. I like the work and people but there’s no way I can or will stay long term without being able to take 20 days of real vacation a year for my health and to live my life. Firm policy says while vacation is unlimited they encourage 20 days. What’s the temperature in the room on this ?

Hi all. My wife and I are working with a RE as we are a same sex couple and need the fertility clinic to complete the insemination process. My wife’s a clean bill of health for everything except a 3.8 TSH level. She is on synthroid to get it down and it’s up to us if we want to try with our first IUI in three days. The RE recommends it’s not as low as they’d like (2.5) and that >2.5 increases risk of miscarriage. I guess I’m looking for stories where you’ve been successful >2.5?

A staffing agency (Alfvo) recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn because they are looking to fill a workday him role. They emailed me the job description. They wanted to do a phone call immediately/right then. I said my availability is tomorrow or the next day. I asked for company name, but responded saying they can’t share the count details before the phone call. Am I getting scammed or is this common practice with agencies?

Is 5 YOE considered entry level or associate? When I apply to associate level jobs I get nothing but rejections. And all the entry level jobs call for new grads or people with under 3 YOE.
