Hi all, I’ve been applying for jobs in Dubai for a bit more than a month and I haven’t received a reply, not even a rejection email. I’ve reached out to recruiters, some have accepted my LinkedIn invitations but none have answered 🙄 Is the recruitment process slow in Dubai or I’m just not lucky ?

Getting ready to launch a mobile app where the content is user generated (similar to Twitter’s content is user generated tweets).
Anyone have any marketing suggestions on how to get a lot of users on the app generating content when it launches?
I feel like it’s a catch-22, where the first downloaders will check the app out and see there’s not much content + therefore not use it.
I’m okay with paying for advertising, but not sure the best platform/strategy. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Woke up to seeing I got upgraded to first on my flight tomorrow, but also woke up realizing my manager didn’t do what they were supposed to do so now I’m going to get reamed out by the client. All things in balance 🙃
I know this is way down the road but I’m a huge pre planner. I graduate with my MBA in May. I didn’t get to walk with my bachelors. What do you wear under your gown? I was thinking a knee length shift dress. My university doesn’t have any dress codes. Is there a societal dress code? Any suggestions on where to find a dress?

People manager VS individual contributor?
I have an offer in hand to work for Fannie Mae for a decent TC and good WLB. I have the ability/option to choose to come in as a manager or an advisor (IC). I have done management in the past, but don't want to totally loose all my finance and technical skills.
Is it better for career growth to be a manager even if it is less technical, or to keep the technical skills in the role?
I’m a senior associate. I was asked to participate on an associate interview for our firm. I’ll be one of two associates (plus partner) on the Zoom. In the associate to associate context: What questions should I ask? Anything in particular I should touch on? What would you like to know from an associate?
Does anyone work for Omnicell as a Clinical Trainer? I’m in the interview process now and communication has not necessarily been that great with it being seemingly rushed then with gaps and then being passed to other recruiters who asked me the same question and act like I should be further along in the process then having to get back to me because they need to talk to somebody else. It appears very disorganized but not sure if this is just an HR issue or if there’s a reason
I joined Deloitte USI this week. I am yet to be allocated a project. Just wondering if we can apply for the Smartphone program being at bench, or do we need to be tagged under a project to avail this?

Which strategy do you use when buying a stock - Limit order or the Trailing stop limit options?
I've always used Limit order and been missing out on price dips. Will appreciate your thoughts on how to cover most of the dip when buying.

I am an RN/MSN working in outpatient quality management. The company’s undergone lots of transitions in the past few years and I’m in a place where I’m just trying to stay above water. I am very overwhelmed and constantly anxious about meeting all of the additional asks coming in. It also seems that we are constantly being asked to validate the work that we do which is pretty frustrating. I do like the people and pay is good but is it time to make a switch?
Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises. We asked HR but they didn’t do anything about it. Is this normal? Is this legal? If not, what else can we do about it?
I had a patient tell me I must be good at basketball...could that have something to do with the fact that I'm tall, the fact I'm black, or both?

PSA: I had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize and just told me to reschedule so I did. I even sent a separate email to confirm the second phone call. Second day of the interview, same thing, no show. I sent an email letting him know that my time is not being valued. (Cont’d)
Hi. I have been nursing for about 15 years mostly in dialysis. I am ready for a change, being able to work remotely. I enjoy problem solving and was thinking something like coding, chart reviews. Any suggests on how or where to start looking?
I am a Family Nurse practitioner with years of clinical experience. I als have spent time working in: Quality Assurance for CMS surveys, Post Acute Care and Readmission prevention and teaching BSN programs. I would love to get into consulting in a WFH position. I have been working from home for 2 years and would like to stay home. Any leads would be appreciated.
Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I would appreciate any input!!!!

Supervisor said I couldn’t have week off for vacation this summer bc another coworker of higher seniority asked off the same week and two people can’t go on vacation at the same time because of staffing. But this coworker that asked off works different shift than me? He works 1st shift I work second. We have a total of 8 workers and no more than 4 work a day. can easily be covered. This has never been a problem until this year (we got a new supervisor). we’re used to being short staffed anyway
