Are lateral signing bonuses still a thing post-2020? Or is it just rolled into moving expenses, etc.?
Even with all the info out in the open, it’s clear that stealing others’ work gets you hired, and being a whistleblower gets you fired. What does this mean for the rest of us normal, honest folk?
Anyone have experience making the jump from Federal Consulting to Lobbying / Gov. Relations in-house at a company?
Has anyone used Bionic ads or something similar for buy management? Looking for a light-weight alternative to spreadsheets as source of truth for media details.
Has anyone had experience with/heard of people moving from consulting to work in public health? I’m not sure how my consulting skills would be viewed. (2 years in consulting, public health undergrad)

Additional Posts in Social Media Strategy
Using Instagram for a company that sells land, I've reached a certain success (20k followers in 10 months investing about US$400/month). But I've been facing a few issues. The success came from third party sources, so the profile turned out to be a news hub. When I post original content (feed or reels) it doesn't perform well. Now I have an account that's mostly 80% news, 15% institutional and 5% products.
Do you guys think this is a good strategy?
Hey everyone, I have a few sales employees that go rogue and create their own content using our logo. My main concern is that the logo gets altered, the posts are (in my opinion) awful, and there's currently no one managing/approving these posts.
Does anyone have any solid policies regarding an approval process for these posts or preventing employees from putting the company's logo on their own content?
I'm collecting some data around personality types and drinks preference, if you have 2 minutes, please complete my short https://forms.office.com/r/3XPijVMLdN
New to Tiktok. Is it kosher to repost influencer content on your own brand feed? (Influencer who has made an ad for that brand) I suppose we ask for their permission?
I am currently an editorial manager and it's in a bit of a nonconvential sense, meaning I don't have a ton of say in brand voice/storytelling, social media, ect. As I start looking elsewhere I realize because of this I have some deficits in what most companies define as an editorial manager. Any recommendations on how to close this gap and make myself more marketable to these positions that require extensive knowledge of social media, etc? Courses/certifications/any thing would be useful.
Any data out there on how long an average person follows a brand for before becoming bored/disengaged and unfollowing?
My boss just made me share a photo of our supporters, wearing our merch, visiting groups of people daily with no masks. She told me that “our audience aren’t really mask police kind of people.”
I told them it could negatively affect our reputation and they told me to leave mask enforcement to OSHA.
So who’s already started creating Reels for their clients/brands IG accounts?
What are your thoughts on it so far?
Social Media bowl, will your clients or brands be venturing onto Byte? If so or if not, why?

Any advice on crossing over from agency strategist to product marketing manager? Considering it and would love some perspectives
So ideal posting times - they don't necessarily line up to be the same across all platforms. My boss asked me today, and I'm curious what the bowl thinks... Is it better to pick one time that's ideal for some platforms, or is it better to schedule content to post at the ideal time for each platform? Ex: IG @ 10am, LI @9am, and FB @11am.
Note: my boss refuses to tailor content to the platform and wants me blanket posting the same content on all SM, so this is more of a concern for her.
How large is the social team at your agency, and what roles do you have? How many team members on each client team? Seems social/content tends to vary the most from agency to agency.
Who’s leaving Twitter? Our media agency is saying for our brand to stay the course (and not cancel huge upcoming buys) but I feel like the brand can just sit it out. Be organic if you need to/want to but don’t give them money.
Curious how the socials inside agencies are feeling or how you’re advising clients.
I just opened an account on Instagram three months ago. I noticed that posts do not mean anything, and reels are the thing now, but how about strictly educational accounts? I like to keep the originality and creativity, but I feel like I have no chance of growing to sell anything online. I feel like Insta is competing against Tiktok, and I am too old for this :) (40 years old) Do you think I should quit Instagram and focus on Facebook only? What is your opinion?
Thoughts on mobile retargeting? This has been recently added to my role and I’m curious if this will become more popular with the major increase in phone/tablet use
How’s the freelance market for social/digital strategy at the moment? I’m completely burned out at my job and have a good amount of savings, have never freelanced but after a grueling couple months I’m seriously contemplating putting in notice and looking for shorter term stuff for a bit. Ps I’m at the director level and have been for 3 years, just never updated my profile. So curious about freelance director/vp roles.
