Hi guys, I’m interviewing at Guidehouse USA, and I was given a PowerPoint and excel sheet for a case study. Some of the questions asked in the PowerPoint deck technically require me to study the TA and have a detailed understanding of existing drugs on the market.
Is this how we are expected to answer the questions? Or do I just draw a framework to show how I will get the answers? I’m not sure if I’m reading too much into this!
Anyone who has done such an interview please help?

Maybe the company is short on staff and assign a workstream of an ongoing engagement as “homework” to use some free labor 😂

likefunny

Used to work at GH. Case studies are blinded versions of previous projects, and honestly maybe 1% of the case studies presented in interviews would be anywhere near good enough to use as free work

like

Yep I had to do this with navigant a few years back! You need to do your own background research and present the case/answer

Same thing Advisory Board application process back in the day.

like

Used to work at Guidehouse, can confirm you need to do the secondary research yourself and give your recommendations, not just walk through how you would approach.

like

You’ll need to actually come up with answers

like

I see.. thank you for clarifying this.

like

Yeah I would just show you can come up with a plausible solution.

likehelpful

Yes, the expectation is that you do some secondary research to be able to answer the questions.

like

Makes sense! Just wanted to make sure that's what they wanted. Thank you.

Accenture headhunters keep reaching out.. Nothing has happened so far cos I don't have time to prep for a case study rn (4x this year alone). Too much on my plate...

Guidehouse is making you do this? Guidehouse does not carry enough prestige to make people do cause study’s, ESPECIALLY at the consultant level. Myself and many others on my team never had to do anything of the sort for Guidehouse.

like

Case *studies? I vs. myself?

You are usually given 7 days to prepare the case. It's more than enough to conduct some secondary research and provide a high-level solution. If you are not able to pull this together, you might want to ask yourself why you want to be a consultant

like

I would hope for most applicants, it is a "won't" not a "can't".

MBB, LEK, Clearview all somehow figured out how to find qualified candidates without take home tests. It is probably telling on the quality of training and mentorship you will get at Guidehouse that they can't.

Unless GH pays way over market or can place alumni like MBB, there is no reason to entertain an interview that requires >1-2hr of specific preparation.

like

Did you get the job? How much is the salary for a LSC sr position?

Thanks for your thoughts. I just sent an email to HR asking for a phone call tomorrow to get this clarified. I don’t think all the secondary research is possible in 3 days with my current job responsibilities too.

Hi all! I’m in the search of a remote HRBP role, looking for a company that is willing to pick me up as a new HRBP. I’ve been in the role 4 months, but this company is a disaster. The culture is so bad, I had an employee say they can’t even go to the bathroom without permission. I’m really not wanting to go back to a generalist role. Prior to this job, I had another offer of HRBP but I didn’t like the interview. Been in the field 6+ years. Let me know if anyone has anything!

Hello, everyone!

I have an interview for a relatively new law firm early next week. However, upon doing more research about them, I noticed that their website has only a black-and-white website about only what the law firm is about.

My questions are:

1. Is this a red flag?

2. How do you guys prepare for interviews specifically with law firms that have little to some information on their website and Glassdoor?

Thank you so much in advance!

My interview with Cognizant is completed .
Had multiple calls with hr , they have asked all related documents which i shared and discussed about salary verbally.

It’s been 3 weeks now , i have not got written offer and hr is not replying and ignores mails.

Atleast they can send feedback if they don’t want to hire. They have wasted my time as well as their time.

Do you think they will reply or else just leave hope from cognizant .
